Odor control help

http://www.igrowhydro.com/CAN-2600-Charcoal-Filter.aspx will this can filter the 2600 work well with my vortex 4" fan. and second question should I mount the fan to the can like the video demonstrates. I need to pull the air across the bulb through the hood. how do I have the most efficent odor control with this method of heat control via drawing air through the hood. PLEASE any suggestions and pics would be amazing thank you..

I have always found it best to mount the carbon filter right above the grow area this will inturn then do two things the 1st is pull the hot air from the room and exspell it into another part of the house.The second is to get rid of the smell but i would also advice getting all the same smelling odure control like glade plugings these have been a god send to me after all you have to go in the room and exit it a few times a day so the smell will escape and this is normaly at a time when someone is at the door or the postman has a parcel for you.So have one of the plugings at the bottom of the stairs or more important at every door these realy do smell strong too and can keep a smelly starin at bay to a exstent.

awosme thank you also aslong as the carbon filter has a 4" flange I should be fine with just taping the ducting on the fan then throught thelight and exhaust? or have filter directly to the fan then hood, exhaust? and thanks plug ins for sure thank you.
