odor control

I just started growing myself, and the best advice I can think of is this, use something to mask or eliminate the odor.
I've been told that buy burning heavily scented candles and using febreeze (or any other odor eliminator) will cover up the odor(s) pretty well.
Again, I just started growing and when I send my plants into the flowering stage, I intend to try this method out

yea i was considering a carbon filter but where would i put? i was thinking of buying another fan and having it blow the odor into the carbon filter which would be located above the light. Woult that work?

Carbon filters tend to be more effective if you suck the air through the filter instead of blowing it at the filter. I am not 100% sure why but that is what everything I have read has told me. You could try to mount the DIY filter above your light with a fan that can move a fairly small CFM something like maybe 60CFM. As long as you are sucking the air through the filter you should be fine. I don't know how effectively using febreeze or scented candles will work once you start to flower.

I have purchased (2) of these filters and they work great. I have taken one and added an exhaust fan from Home Depot and it works great.

so as long as i have the fan with the carbon filter attached above the light it would work? wouldnt the fan still be blowing the air into the carbon filter which would be bad?

Everything you need should be in the indoor section, it's stickied at the top so you cant miss it.. I also believe there is a link in my Signature that will take you to it.

If you can't cut the closet doors, make your own out of a sheet of wood and cut an intake at the bottom and an out take at the top, buy yourself some decent fans and away you go.

The way you want your out take, with filter is as follows :

OUTSIDE OF GROW AREA |Door with venthole|FAN PULLING AIR|carbon filter|Plants

I hope that makes sense.

thats why i am using a "JR" it can oxidise 1000 cubic feet and has a special feature that makes it come on every 10 mins and shut off for 10 as to not build up toxic levels of ozone.

the ozone oxidises the oder anyway and my grow area actually smells like i have an open window its great
