Nat please do update us, I was always skeptical of ionizers because they seem more suited for trapping lint and particles rather than molecules. I went with an ozone generator, but ended paying nearly 10x what you paid =( (And no, I'm not rich so it hurts)

But for only 20 bucks, even if it doesn't work at least you will now have a new room filter, or desk filter which will do an excellent job of removing mold, dust, and other nasties. And for a good deal.

Yeah man i heard the same thing about ionizer odour removal but this new technology uses the ionizer combined with UV/photo catalytic particle removal so i am going to give it a try as i go through a lot of ona gels especially in the summer due to them drying up quickly in my hot room not to mention i have to place the gels around the rest of the house to.
If it sucks you can rely on me to truthfully say it sucks:peace::joint:

UV light does nothing for odour removal. It will kill air borne viruses and mold but it will not do much for odour. The problem with these ionic breeze devices is that they do not move enough air. The best thing for odour removal is a charcoal filter. If you do not like the ONA gels you can get a 5 gallon bucket with a lid and drill some holes in the sides of the bucket. Cut a hole in the lid and mount a muffin fan on it. Pour some Soil Moist crystals in the bucket with a cup of liquid ONA and put the lid on. Then plug it in near your grow room. When the ONA runs out just pour another cup in the bucket. It will last a lot longer than the gel.

Yeah man i know how to use fans and ona gels.
My whole point is that it costs money to run the fan and money for ona.
This device states this it is suitable for a 15 square meter space and uses only 5 watts.

If it doesn't work properly or well enough i will just take it back and get my money back.

The kind of devices you are talking about have nothing to do with this device, this device is not a medical airborne virus killer of the kind that it seems you are talking about.

Having fans in buckets full of ona is cool but not what i want as i already use enough electric as it is and ona is expensive in my country:blsmoke:

haven't used them nat - but am all ears.. er eyes!
I will let you know truthfully if it works for me or if it sucks.
I only have a smallish cupboard and its definitely not 15 square meters so it better work lol,it is a walk in built into the house type cupboard.:blsmoke:

i've tried a few things but now i have a carbon filter AND an ozone generator just in case

but it would be nice to have some alternatives.
i'm so very grateful and glad you do all these experiments and try out a lot of cool ideas.

if i didn't have to spread my rep around more - you'd be getting some probably every day!

Thanks for the big up email:mrgreen:
Anyway i didn't buy the unit yet as i had some unforeseen expenses.
I am going to buy it this Monday though instead.
I don't know to be honest if this unit would be much good for big grows but for small cupboard spaces and stealth grows i think it will be ideal.
Stay tuned for the report lol:peace::joint:

will do natmoon. off-topic - i've been seeing a few threads about "putting oxygen in soil" and "using air stones with soil" -- i've been pointing them to your thread. just thought you'd like to know :joint:

Thanks for that dude thats cool of you.:joint:
I know that one guy has just started using an air basket setup that is similar to mine, slightly different baskets used, heres a link to his journal.

https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/44410-super-silver-first-2.html#post585739

And it is also good to mention that i had the idea for the airbaskets after reading through your grow journal email and seeing how fast your baby plants were growing and working out that the speed of growth must have come from the excellent amount of air they received, the best ideas come from listening/reading to each others info:peace::joint:
