Do i need two ballasts to run 2x 1000 watt lamps within the Growzilla Dual Bulb Reflector? -sue
In order to run 2x 1000 watt lamps you are going to need two ballasts as there is no way 1x 1000 watt ballast can push out 2000 watts. If you are looking to run 2x 600 watt lamps, you are able to use just 1x 1000 watt magnetic ballast and a SunPulse Splitter to power 2x 600 watt lamps. http://www.greners.com/sunpulse-splitter.html -Greners Staff

Can I power 2x 600 watt bulbs with a Lumatek Dual 600W Digital Ballast HPS/MH 240V? -adam
That is correct! With the Lumatek Dual 600W Digital Ballast HPS/MH 240V you are able to power 2x 600 watt lamps. -Greners Staff

Looking for some information about CMH bulbs. Apparently the Phillips MasterColor bulbs are no longer available, what has everyone been using now?

The 830s seem to have now become 860s.
There are two models on the phillips site I cant work out what the difference.
And now they are called cdm not cmh.
Is cdm improved cmh technology??
Anyone used one of these 860w phillips??
I found what seems to be a great ballast to use with these 860w lights or any hids for that matter. Its a company called glogreen. I am going to bite the bullet and order one in...
Advanced lighting sollutions seems to be doing a sale on the last phillips 400w cmhs to every be produced. They down to 36 $.
I might have to get some vertcles as I got my leds but its way too cold without hid during winter so I will proly hang a 400 verticle but im tempted to try the 860 out too... bit of a shame I cant just hang my horizontal 400s but I read it shortens life expectancy. Speaking of which these digital ballasts claim 95% lumen maintenance. I cant find much info on them though...

alright quiet people..i am going to buy the supercloset deluxe 3.0 dimensions are 6' t 3' w 2' d but i wont be using the 400w hps that comes with it.not that inefficient thing.oh no im thinking of putting in 4 75w cmh bulbs for flowering/or i might just use 2 150w cmh bulbs you dnt need alot of power to grow your own buds..unless you smoke alot of weed like more than a ounce a week.and if you got jobs you probably smoke a bowl or 2 after work and about a half ounce at the most on the weekends with friends and family..if you see most of the guys growing with cfl low wattage bulbs strung 2gether given better light distribution 150w 250w and getting damn good results.it all depends on how much space you have and how much bud you smoke.think about it.you got a 400w cmh but you only smoke a half ounce a week.that light can easily give you up to a half pound or more under the right conditions nutes/light/dist/temp/humidity/strains/soil/ph.just knw what you plan to do with your bud before you start growing it.remember too much of anything isnt always good.oh and yes cmh bulbs are the shit think about it. it literally is the closest light to natural sunlight they are far more efficient they throw heat up more than down like hps and mh.they can veg better than mh..they make buds produce more naturally.hps does make them swell a little bit more.i believe this is due to hps being a little bit more red and or all indoor plants we grow have been breed for years under nothing but hps lights and never see a full spectrum this is why i think alot of plants wont do well under full spectrum..dont believe me?b4 u go do research on what i said know this..when you go to a seed website you have outdoor strains and indoor strains.trust me even most outdoor strains can and have been grown indoors if you know how to tame the plant.but the main point is majority of the weed we know and grow has been breed under these two lights mh and hps.led i know they will be better than all of the above once the distance from the plant can be reduce and when we get a 300w led to replace a 1000w hps commercially..so to rap this up cmh= better quality full spectrum more crystals and a little less quanity.hps quanity less quality just 1 sided on the spectrum chart.the best weed is grown from full spectrum blues and red in professional grow rooms ever see a mh in hps grow room hes tryn to produce more crystals mh doesnt make plants bud very well but they help plants trichomes in bloom stage.plants require diff spectrum throughout their life cycle...cmh all day..so help me out guys 4 75w cmh bulbs or 2 150w cmh bulbs?75 doesnt have that much power but ill get better coverage overall less shade i wont grow my plants stupid tall then flower.the smaller the better.buds a be big as hell being so close to the light source.but if the plants do strech and i know they will 75w isnt alot of penatration power.but the 2 150w cmh would be def more powerful way bigger buds la little less light coverage but not much hell it is brighter but not as close to the plants mayb a few inches off..what do u guys think?
I'm not even going to attempt to read this. Paragraphs man my god.

Hi: All
Where do l start 400Watt CHM grow
I have a 4 Master Kush(Nirvana - Fem)grow at the moment 2 in soil and 2 in coco coir (using the five gallon smart pots the bomb in my opinion) and l am week 5 flowering
I am running bare bulb using greenleaf nutes and canna boost on the 2 soil plants
I am very happy so far with the results and the buds in soil are already starten to harden up but the coco is mad stuff the fan leafs are way bigger and the stem way thicker
gonna be interesting to see how the buds finish in coco
I have my girls in a 900x900x1800mm tent temps run aprox 75`F and humidity 54%
The 2 in coco are 30ins tall and the 2 in soil are 26ins tall

So I guess here are some group shots

And heres some of the coco girls

Since CMH's only go as high as 400 watts as far as I can find, would they be too week for a 5x5, 6x6 grow tent with 10 or 12 plants? They are definitely more fragile hence not going above 400 which is a shame. I had read at one point that Phillips was going to develop an 1000 watt CMH but no dice.
