Yes its tap water i use like 3 5 gallon buckets in rotation at this point im going through 1 a day so they get about 48 hours sit time and i ph to about 6.5-6.6 ish

Three 5 gallon buckets sounds about right ..lol, it's what I have in my garage. Do you add worms or anything for microbes activity in the soil? I do maybe one or two compost teas during a grow just to inoculate the soil.

Not yet i kinda went heavy handed when i switched from synthetic nutes. i lost a few plants starting out by using too many inputs. When i buffered my coco on the first 4 i used these glass pipette things to measure out my calmag the segments were 10 ml measurements instead of the 1 ml i thought it was so i buffered with 10x the amount causing a few lockouts.

So for the moment im trying to just get a few plants down with just a couple inputs before i try again with teas and other supplements.

now that i think about it i still topdress with some earth worm castings in between weeks i need to topdress nutes

I just started using nemotodes to destroy the gnats that have been plaguing me all grow.

The worm castings, perfect. Plants looking good, thinking you got it down. I'm still adding to much myself. Really hard to dial that in from bagged soil that's already filled with stuff of its own. Thinking of mixing some coco to the soil since I have a heavy hand.

Hey Yall is it absolutely necessary to let amendments break down before planting seeds or can I get away with not doing it. Also what about during transplanting? I see some people let theirs cook but Mr canucks seems to never mention it. As far as I can tell he amends same day as transplant?

Only if your doing the suggested 3 tablespoons per gallon for revitalizing/premixing (old soil) , you'll want to let it cook. If your just top dressing then the suggested rate is 1 tablespoon per gallon of soil. You can get away with not doing it when planting seeds. A good practice is starting/seeding them in party cups then transplanting them (to final pot) when they get a few nodes high. You can seed straight into final pots, can run to some problems with that but very doable.
