OG Kush clones or seeds?

I’ve really been looking for the most gassy fuel cut of og clone or seed I can find. Like a needle in a haystack these days, so many things I come across unfortunately always like a watered down version. I’ve heard how OG #18 and og kush from reserva privada seeds havent been good for many years. If anyone has it, or know a direction they can point me to I’d be really appreciate it cheers

If you have access to clones that would be the way to go. Lots of things that seem watered down are simply grown poorly. Get a known clone and hone your grow skills and you should have what you seek.

It will take time to hunt seed as there are hundreds of OG Kush seed lines out there, most probably not OG Kush. If you are going to hunt seed, do some research and get the best seeds you can and start as many as you have room for. Take clones of each and grow them out.

Good luck in the hunt!

I actually am most likely going that route from clone, I have access to a cut of the Josh D OG, but it is very pricey. From a known reputable source I’ve had success with other clones from. I probably should have been more specific as to what pheno of OG the community finds most gassy/fuel profile. Rather than how I worded it of me just searching for it. Thanks for good advice.

I know where you can get a rooted Legend OG cut. He went up on prices since I bought one. Mine is almost ready for flower so I can speak to smell, taste or high yet. Check out GMO on the Discord clone zone if you’re interested.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I’ve actually had that one through purple city genetics, but didn’t have enough space to flower it ultimately, to many strains lol. It definitely grew like og in veg, I’d be curious as to what the profile is like on it when you finish her

So OG Kush is a good one? I got one seed free when I bought other seeds from RQS.

I'm a Newbie at this. :)
OG Kush is legendary. Many different OG strain names out there. Most are killer smoke. I picked up a clone of the legend og a few months back.

Just finished sampling a lower branch that was only 39 days old but ready. Even the trichromes said so. Well fuck me, I am high af. This is the first OG I have grown, and when this plant is fully mature she’s gonna produce high quality buds.

here is a a good read on OG Kush

From RQS "Royal Queen Seeds breeders worked hard to develop our own version of the legendary OG Kush. Using a mix of Chemdawg, Lemon Thai, and Pakistani Kush, they created a well-rounded strain with high THC levels and bucket-loads of fruity terpenes. Overall, she features a stoning genetic profile of 75% indica genetics and 25% sativa.

Its true genetics are unknown. Some say OG Kush is a mix of ChemDawg with a Lemon Thai and Pakistani Kush. Others say that it’s just a special cutting of ChemDawg from the early 90s. Even the meaning of the name OG has been debated; with some saying it means Original Gangster. However, now, because of its origins, most people agree it means Ocean Grown."

The seeds might be fantastic, I don't want to sew doubt, but its not the og kush that og kush enthusiasts talk about.

Large seedbanks do this all the time with strains that are popular enough that the layman knows them. They breed their own stock and call it OG kush or white widow or blueberry when it's really just a run of the mill polyhybrid. Again, this weed can be really good, but its shady marketing imo.

Keep in mind the pros and cons. Seeds will have more variation, but they're no doubt cleaner.

Verifiable clones (emphasis on verifiable) will give you what you're looking for, but you run the risk of bringing in pathogens, which requires quarantine protocols with testing.

OG stands for original

OG stands for original

I agree, in as far as Marty is the person closest to ground zero of og kush Ive heard speak on the matter, but if we want to get technical, it's a colloquial expression.

In the context of what OG Kush stood for, it is "original", but as is so common with cannabis, terms travel with bud unaccompanied with said context, and people develop new meaning to make sense of it (and push weight.)

I realize this is a bit pedantic, but I think it's an important distinction to clear the muddy water that is cannabis etymology.

Clones would be my preferred choice, I'm told in America you taste bud then buy a clone, omg how great would that be?

Even if you need to travel you could make a day/week of testing and buying.

I've lost count of the strains/crops I've done in the past 2.5yrs the one that stands out is London city genetics,
I've got a bluchi v1 keeper and a cheese dipz keeper.

I've a pk of blockbuster and bluchi v3 to do next I'm looking forward to running those in particular because of past experience with their seeds.

Good luck with your venture.

One of the best og cuts imo, loompa's headband. Pine/lemon/fuel with an earthy under-note. Getting the chop here in a week or two. This is my first go with her. I found a small nug on the floor yesterday, microwaved it and it hit pretty damn nice. Very euphoric stuff. I can already tell she's going to be around for a long time.
