i hate to say it, but the mosaic virus is just pure myth when it comes to cannabis plants. it sounds like your girls need a lil more cal mag in their diet.

as for ogr gear, there are plenty of pics posted all over the web. check his forums at the mag, farm and collective if you're really looking for feedback on dudes gear.
Mosaic virus is really, really not a myth. I so wish it was.

i keep saying the same thing. never been a confirmed case of tmv in cannabis plants, and the usual culprit is broad mites, but people like saying tmv instead, but hey, what do i know?

White fire is amazing dude. Grade a amazing, my keeper is hard to clone, and a little finicky but amazing nonetheless. Some of the most potent shit I've smoked!

Mosaic is no myth, so obviously you haven't been growing for very long, as you will run into this eventually. Also it's very common to people who smoke cigarettes then handle their plants right after without washing their hands!!

I grew out OGR's White Fire a while back. I grew out 2 plants. The keeper stretched quite a bit after the flip to 12/12. I would say it at least doubled in size. This particular plant had that skunky smell even during veg, and she had a crazy amount of frost on her. It is one of my favorite strains that I have grown out so far. I yielded about 2 1/2 zips off of her. The other plant didn't stretch hardly at all. She was still frosty, but she just didn't have that strong smell and taste that the other one had. The smell and taste were a very typical OG smell but with a strong skunky undertone that I just loved. The only issue that I had was that they both threw out balls pretty bad at the beginning of flower. Normally I would've culled them, but it would have left me with only 1 plant to harvest. I couldn't do that to myself, so I decided to give them a chance. Boy am I glad that I did too! This strain can really stink, so carbon filters are a must with this strain.

Early signs of classic mosaic virus on another persons plant. There are hundreds if not thousands of varieties of mosaic virus as well as hemp streak virus. Been doing this 25 years bro. In veg you can identify it when:

1) the leaf tip turns almost on a 90 degree angle
2) leaf variegation
3) almost looks a little mutated
4) slower than normal growth rates

If you didn't catch it in veg then here are the characteristics in flower:
1) will normally show it's ugly head in weeks 2 to 4 of flower
2) if you are experienced, they'll will automatically think that something is wrong with your recipe (nothing wrong, it's the virus, only applies to experienced guys)
3) plants will look as if someone literally poured bleach on you tops ( this is why it is usually confused with too high of ppm or over feeding)
4) the plant will try to repair itself and often get a rough pox like texture, The pistols may shrivel up and bud quality sucks.

At least five viruses cause problems in hemp: the hemp streak virus (HSV), alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV), cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), arabis mosaic virus (ArMV) and hemp mosaic virus (HMV)
(McPartland 1999).

Viruses rarely kill Cannabis. They only exist and replicate in living plants. Viruses can, however, seriously reduce yields. Once acquired, they are nearly impossible to eradicate. Viruses invade all parts of plants. Pollen and seed infections transmit viruses to subsequent generations

Five viral syndromes are described in the literature. In addition to these naturally-occurring infections, Hartowicz et al. (1971) screened 22 common plant viruses for their ability to infect wild hemp. Over half the viruses could infect Cannabis.
just wanted to favorite this for others. I'd give rep but mobile isn't a fan of allowing so.

When I had my lovely outdoor veggie and fruit plot, I was struck once with a mosaic virus. It caused deformed leaves, crinkling, and discoloration. Using it early, I used a fine paint brush and applied a copper sulfate coating on the affected plants. I also later used a light solution sprayed on the rest of of the plants to prevent it's spread. It was June so early for the garden and I luckily eliminated it.

Wifi is the business  I've run a few different cuts. These are all grown from clone (in coco), gifted to me from good friends. Selections from original release fem's from OGR's early works...

'White Fire' - (Fire OG/the White) (SFS cut)

'White Strawberry' - (Strawberry Cough/the White)

'White Bubba' - ('98 Bubba Kush/the White)

The few times ive sampled WiFi it has had a relatively "light"/daytime buzz.. does anyone else feel this way? I wanna know if its just my sources cut because I prefer heavy indica types throughout

@TonightYou I know this is an older topic but you mentioned the copper sulfate and spraying a 'light solution' - what exactly went into those?
just copper sulfate and water in a mister if I recall correctly. I certainly only used water dilution of it or did the paint brush method of the dust depending on how widespread it was

Grew a few Fire alien kush a while back from reg seeds
they were interesting plants to grow huge leaves for the size of the plant
the potency was good the yield for the size of the plant was good
the buds/calyx were hard and large
i was not keen on the thin lemon flavored smoke on one pheno it had very little expansion strangely for a kush plant
another pheno had hints of blueberry and a more og taste and expansion and a funky chemical smell to the buds
like permanent marker/sharpie none had a great bud structure for flower to leaf ratio
so needed a bit of trimming
i wasn't so keen on the funny mutated twisty growth it reminded me of blueberry i have run
i was running biker kush on the same run as the fak i prefered the biker kush so did not keep FAK

peace

I've smoked a couple ounces of WIFI and didn't really feel it was a light buzz, but closer to stoney and boring. I never got any real euphoria or felt lifted after smoking it, just a flat boring stone. Don't really get why everyone gushes about this strain. Sure it packs a punch, but I prefer something a little less one dimensional.
