So ive got my grow-area set up and im working on my cantaloupe patch aswell only problem is there is about 20 deer who walk right through where im doing my gardening everynight. These are hardcore fukin' deer who could care less about stopping measures. So how do i stop them (short of building a fence/getting a new dog). THe best thing you can think of that will keep em away for 3 months is appreciated bc they would have no problem whiping out both my crops in one night.

You can by bottles of wolve piss from your nursery and spray a little bit on surrounding trees and you will never see another deer again.

Last fall, deer got my entire crop in one night. These were 8 ft.plants with heavy colas.I would have harvested the next week.I used soap, urine, after shave, and anything else I could think of.When the're hungry, the only thing that will stop them is a very high fence.GL

use fishing line to make a perimeter fence. it is practically invisible and they wont try to push through it.

I've tried almost all of it, none of which really work. I sprayed surrounding trees and shrubs with Deer Off, laid out numerous bars of soap, bags and bags of human hair...you name it.
As someone said earlier, if they are hungry enough, they'll eat regardless.
Never heard of the fishing line. It seems to me they would jump over it. Or maybe they are just that blind?
I did read long ago of a product you can order called Liquid Fence.
People swear by it, but it's not cheap.

If you can get panther or mountain lion piss and apply around grow area. You can also try hot ground pepper the hotter the better like black pepper and make a circle around the plants but make sure you spread the pepper about 3 ft wide around them.

If they can see it, they'll hit it.
Deer will not jump over something if they cannot see the other side, so if you fence it, don't use chainlink, go with full board, no spaces. It may be cheaper to put a greenhouse over ur plot.

yea the fishing line remedy is more for out in the woods between trees, if those mofo's are coming str8 thru ur yard, i'm like delstele up there^^^ shoot one of those bastards as a warning to the rest.
'COME BACK THRU THIS WAY AGAIN, AND ITS UR ASS!!!' HE SAYS AS HE HOLDS THE SEVERED DEER HEAD UP BY ITS ANTLERS SO THE REST CAN SEE.
but in all seriousness, just shoot one and it should curtail the rest from wanting to travel that path again ya know?

Blood Meal, Human Hair, Soap, Creosote, Rotten Eggs, Garlic, Onions, Sour Milk, Beef Bouillon,
Cayenne Pepper, Clove Oil, Vinegar, Coyote/Wolf Urine, or a dead corpse of your choice.

Deer are very sensitive to chemicals, and dont enjoy them at all, but I doubt you want them
around your plants or in the environment.

Good Luck

I just came up with a good idea....feed them...
Yeah feed them put out cheap shit that they'll eat....
Put it far from ur plants make a trail to a feeding frenzy then slowly move it far away..
What y'all think??

NC lol and the because of the new communities that just popped up there is no hunting/shooting anything. Which is why we have so many, and keeping deer fed enough to let the crop finish growing I could barely brake even unless I sold by the g

It would be nice if I could just set up a dog fence (with a top) Somewhere in the woods. But it would be hard to do that stealthily unless I creep into the spooky woods and make a clearing then I would have to take the fence around half a mile through pine and hurricane ravaged terrain. damn that sounds perfect but it would take alot of sneaky work.

If you're gonna grow outdoors you got to plant enough for everyone. The wabbits, the deer, the hogs, the grasshoppers, and the worms. When they're full they move on. Plant a plot of peas 20 feet away and see what they prefer.

Good luck, on that deer trail it's probably a losing battle. Find another spot.:leaf:
