Here's one take on that. And before someone says this is from FoxNews, it's from that bastion of anti-Obama sentiment, CNBC:

Economist Michael Pento, of Delta Global Advisors in Parsippany, N.J., said the better-than-expected jobs number was boosted primarily by the 15,000 Census workers hired and does nothing to mask what he considers the near-certainty that the second half of the year will see another leg down for the economy."We still haven't created any jobs. They can't get any loans, their incomes are down and they face much higher taxes in 2011 and higher interest rates," Pento said in an interview. "I don't know why anybody would think anything else. If I'm wrong I'll fall down and build a shrine to John Maynard Keynes."

The month Obama came into office there were 598,000 jobs lost and this guy is trying to say the 15,000 jobs from census workers are skewing the numbers? If 15,000 jobs are going to tilt things one way or another then Obama must be doing a much better job than I thought.

1 million census workers will be hired in the next 3 months, you can bet that they will use those numbers to make the inevitably crappy employment numbers look good. You can tell when a politician is lying easily, if his mouth and lips are moving, lies are being created.

The one thing with potential to really improve the economy is the huge sigh of relief when Obamacare finally fails.

The very sad fact is that if Obama actually tried to fix the job market...it would be done by now.

He wants to SPEND!!

The road to prosperity is well marked....but he ignores them and takes us down a dark road with no illumination at all.

Whenever I want a laugh I recall Obama saying if his "stimulus" bill passed unemployment wouldn't go over 8%. It's part of Obama's core philosophy that he should preside over the decline of America, and that is what he is trying to do.

The economy is getting better somewhat DESPITE Obama.

Obama has done NOTHING to help. Let's be clear about that.

Without Obama's policies.... we would be far better off today than we are. Not even close....

One term....he's done.

I can't agree. I don't see one thing about the economy that indicates we are coming out of recession. There are tiny blips in a few metrics caused by huge government spending, but that doesn't mean anything has changed. You know, when most of the air is out of a tire it doesn't come out as fast anymore. Not until there is substantial job gains is there an indication we are coming out of recession. Until then we may just be treading water before another dip down.

I didn't say we were coming out of the recession, but any GOOD news is NOT because of Obama.

I think we will have a W chart on the recovery....the second dip will be BECAUSE of Obama.

Reagan would have had us out by now..... that much is clear.

Just give up with the Obama talk. Talk about some Bud instead. Every time i log into this website its the same group of people talking about Obama this & Obama that. Since you guys have all the answers to this country problem then how about you fix them instead of sitting behind a computer talking about what should and could be done. Oh thats right, YOUR NOT QUALIFIED. How about we bring Bush back or how about John McCain who looks like he is 100 years old. LOL Smh

Historically, the real estate market leads into recessions and conversly, leads out of recessions. I can tell you from a personal standpoint that even with the low interest rates, and the 8k first time buyer tax credit, the real estate market still sucks. People need to feel good about the future in order to invest in a home with a 30 year mortgage. Until Obama does something about building the confidence of the American people, the economy will stay in the dumpster. The guy is all over the place with his economic policies. Does any one posting here feel confident about opening a new business, or hiring more employees to help run an existing buisness?

Real estate is so over...and ur right Redd....housing is definitely a "part" of the recovery, and that piece is not only off the board....Congress is working very hard on a REPEAT performance.

They must be stopped.

A "Bush" on the chart of recovery, get real!
Praising tax cuts for the rich and taxing the poor Reganomics "trickle down" theory "failed." The free trade agreement is what brought much credit to Regan in the 80's, which he had no part of,,,He did have part of making the USA a debeter instead of a crediter in the Global economy tho', He was for big oil, Big military and the elite Rich.
Ya know cracker you alway's say your not a Republican, Why kid yourself or at least be up front about who you are and what you belive in Cause you fit The RNP to a tee,,,and if you actually feel "Independent",,,You tought a lot of people what being indepent means in terms of Party affiliation:neutral:
No hate, Just My opinion from one stoner to another:joint:
