$400 or $1200 ... it doesn't matter. Edwards is a sleaze ball of enormus proportions. How anyone of any sensibilities could support Edwards is beyond me.

How anyone with any sense can support any of the clowns on either side of the aisle is beyond me. None of them want to do anything but promote their own self serving agenda and not want to do anything for the people, just the corporations.
They can care less what's good for the country.

Sounds fair to me. The stylist had to close his shop and go on the road wherever Edwards would be. Also Edwards is worth quite a few million, if he wants to pay big bucks for a particular stylist that he is happy with, WTF? This seems to be the worst the repukes can come up with against Edwards, They are scared shitless,~LOL~.

i think it's great when artists receive high pay checks for their work, that's wonderful.

my problem is that the media ignored this. they mentioned the $400 thing but this was nowhere to be seen; bias.

the other big issue is that i personally can't understand the compatibility of this level of vanity with true compassion for the poor. true, i don't have millions in spendable income so my perspective isn't totally relevant. still, how do you pander to people who can't buy their baby food, who can't pay their power bill, who can't afford decent clothes to go to a job interview, while you prance all over the country - $1200/day hair stylist in tow?

Look 7X, grow up. The man and his measly millions could help a few thousand maybe, but if elected, he could help millions. Most all the candidates besides Kucinich and Paul are multi-millionaires, why pick on edwards for a measley (In millionaires parlance) 400-1200 dollar haircut. He would be way ahead in money if he never ran. I'm sure a few million comes right out of his pocket. Since the advent of TV, Appearance has become quite important in national elections and he wants to look his best. BTW VI, have you noticed he got that annoying skin appendage removed from his upper lip?

~lol~ ... Yes, I DID notice it. The first thought I had was: "I wonder what else he's hiding?"

I'll repeat ... After spending 41 years in commissioned sales (The People Business), I have an uncanny ability to read people. I read facial expressions, hand gestures and body language in general. I'm REAL good at it. Take it from me, John Edwards would make a TERRIBLE president. He's the kind of guy who would never take your back in a street fight. I'll bet he has to fake a firm handshake. He's as phony as Tom Cruise. Even worse, I think. The man is not to be trusted. Take my word to the bank on this one, guyz.

We'll I might not be the expert judge of people as you say you are, But, with his wife dying of cancer, why would he even want to run unless he is actually commited to his platform, bring the poor out of poverty, universal health care, straighten out our foriegn police? I may be more naive than you on this and maybe I'm hoping a little too much, But I believe he would be a thousand times better than any republican running outside of Ron Paul, and Paul doesn't have a chance.

Its called Egomania, Med. Ask yourself what you would do in the same circumstances that Edwards finds himself. A multi-bizillionaire, huge home and everything any normal person would want. The wife is ill with terminal cancer. You know that the stresses of a campaine would put undue stress on the wife. You know that stress produces free radicals and introduces them into the system. You know that free radicals will hasten the demise of your wife. With Edward's egomania, none of this counts. He loves the press coverage. He loves the attention. Like the addicted gambler, he loves the action. He loves the action more than he loves life. He will pay $1200 for a haircut to impress, then give a speach about "two Americas." He will undergo facial surgery if he thinks it will further his presentation.

What my sixth sense tells me is ... John Edwards is an egomaniac that knows no bounds. He will say anything and do anything to attain what his infected brain cells tell him he must do in order to feed the mania. John Edwards is wearing a mask, Med. He doesn't ring true.

Now, I'm no shrink ... but like I said before, 41 years in dealing with people, including egomaniacs does give me some credibility in the situation.

Now that egomaniac thing, is that from firsthand experience like looking in the mirror?

trial lawyers have to be egomaniacs. think about what they do everyday...

wake up, go to work. someone comes in wanting to blame someone for something.

now, the trial lawyer has to pump himself up to a moral high ground, advocate for the miserly plebeian who was victimized by some rich corporation. they go to court and stand in front of a jury demanding that the corporation should have warned the consumer that hot coffee is hot, dammit! that hot coffee is hot through and through!

no one warned the consumer that hot coffee was hot, the cup didn't even have a warning that gravity effects the contents of the cup and if you pour it on yourself it will burn you!

how could anyone have known that unless the big rich corporation tells them?

lol

med, you have to be full of something to be able to do stuff like that all your life, if you call it good conscience you just might be an egomaniac yourself!

.[/quoteWell, call me a sucker, but I believe John Edwards is sincere and would try and do what he says he'll do in the oval office. Being a persuasive trial lawyer might come in handy trying to persuade congress to pass single payer medical! By making it a law that unions have the right to organize any class of workers, the greedy corporations might have to pay a living wage, even if the asshole CEO might have to take a few million off the top. I worked union most of my adult life except when in business or working on commission. This allowed me to be on the bottom edge of middle class and own my home instead of renting some sleaze apartment in the ghetto.

so he's won you over, that should scare you right there! lol

being a "persuasive trial lawyer" is only beneficial when he's in front of the jury that he hand picked. a room full of educated, smart, powerful cynics is a whole different ball game. he'd be chewed up and destroyed if he was on top of the US political system because trial lawyers are like orchestra conductors; control freaks, obsessed with how they are perceived (hair cuts?) and not at all interested in the opinions of the individual musicians.

it takes more than a silver tongue to be a decent leader and that's about all you get with Edwards. look at him objectively and think about his background, his accomplishments... President Edwards?

I'd love to see the democrat candidates interviewed on Fox. I wonder why they won't agree to go on the BALANCED shows?

i don't know but it's appearing more and more cult-ish from my perspective. they only go to socialist friendly places these days... they do such a good job keeping their followers busy that i don't think they notice, if they do they know to keep quiet and stay in line...
