So I germinated bagseed a little early for my area, made a growbox out of a plastic sterilite organizer/whatever, lined it with tinfoil(shiny side out) until i get mylar. bought 23 watt cfl, have two hanging directly over seedlings, which i have five seedlings looking healthy, they are about 1/2 inch tall and green with first set of leaves just popping after the cotelydons. they are in peat cups with miracle grow seed starting mix. okay, first question.
1) how long can i leave seedlings in these cups before transplanting to bigger pots?
2) I plan to plant these outside in about one month or a little longer. How soon can I sex them to find out which are female?
3) Lastly, how many cfl lights and what wattage/lumens/K do I need for about five to seven small plants just to veg before getting outside?
Thanks, have learned alot already but just want some clarification.

Ok, well I have a total of 9 cfl lights. seven are 23 watt, 2700k and two are 32 watt, 4100k bright. i will be switching to all 32 watt 4100k for veg, just need to get some cash first. the plants (5) have been vegging for 1.5 weeks on the cfl's, they have tin foil on the walls for reflective purposes, will buy mylar soon. they are green and healthy looking, one has a slight yellowing of one leaf but it was overwatered, they are all about 2 to 3 inches tall with the second and third leaf sets coming up, they are smaller due to the 2700k cfl's, need all 4100k's, coming soon. have soil moisture analyzer, a fan blowing on them and will be using schultz's plant food 10-15-10 for veg and will buy foxfarm nutes for flower. have learned a bunch from this site. also letting tapwater sit for 24-48 hrs before using on plants. any questions?

Ok first question u shud re pot them wen u see da roots showin from the bottom holes of the peat cups 2. There's no fast way of sexing them some plants will show sex by within tha first 3 to 4 weeks some take longer ...what I wud do im ur case is veg them then about a week before u put them outside put them under 12/12 to sex em then wen u find the chicks u can put em out in tha sun and lastly ur lights should be sufficent enough so sustain them until they're ready to go outside jus try ta keep da lights as close as possible 2 da tops or ur plants.....good luck &| happy growing
