Ok to thin while in flower?

I'v'e got rid of PM easily with no PM return using 1 part milk
to 9 parts water in a sprayer. Even the buds can be sprayed as long as
you give them time to dry out. Morning spray is good that way they have
time to dry throughout the day. There are no ill effects to using milk to rid pm and it works perfect every time.
There are countless growers here that will verify this method.
I've tried milk, and hydrogen peroxide, and everything else my mentors and the hydro shop owner have suggested. It's not always easy to get rid of wpm, apparently. What I'm doing now has been the most effective, but is time consuming and still a not 100% fix. Keeping them trimmed of any overlap seems to help also, that's why I asked if ok in flower.

You don't suck as a new grower when you are learning and I was judging others who feed you BS.
Yes, I agree about getting bunk advice...one of my mentors actually started the room for me and handed it over fully infested (I think he got tired of battling it and gave up)....I've been trying to eradicate it ever since. I know there are a million right ways to grow, still "weeding" out the bad advice (pun intended). Thanks for clarifying that you don't think I suck:P

I am a newer grower (this is only my 4th turn), and I have several veteran growers as mentors. I work hard and spend 1-2 hours a day with my 9 flower plants and 9 veg plants, plus I put in longer days 1-2x per week. If you have helpful advice I would love to hear it. Being judgmental and deciding I must just suck as a grower is really not helpful at all, especially when I'm already frustrated and have tried every suggestion my mentors have given. There is such a thing as getting poor quality clones, I think everyone would agree on that, and it seems to be the case here. There's a reason I'm here asking for advice, judgment isn't appreciated or warranted. What exactly could I be doing wrong to "cause" an ongoing infestation?
as mentioned milk is a good cure sounds silly but it worked for me about 16 months ago i had pm and milk worked and never returned good air circulation and good extraction is a must but of course you could just have crap cuts with crap genetics

I have intake and out flow of air, plus 6 fans going in my smallish room...air flow isn't the issue. That's why I believe it must be bad genetics. It's too bad because the end product smokes awesome...just not worth all the trouble.

WHAT IS THE STRAIN ?
best way to know for sure is to try new genetics there are certain strains more susceptible to mold mildew etc
good luck things can only get better

It's supposed to be White Widow...one of my personal faves for daytime pain relief. Supposed to be a good starter strains too from what I've heard? This turn is already MUCH better:-)

I got some good quality and quantity output from prior turns, despite the wpm issues....it's just a constant battle! Tired of fighting it...

Ordered some Super Silver Haze seeds, supposed to be mildew resistant. Any other suggestions?

I just don't believe it...... wpm w a rh of 35 sounds wrong...
I can show you a pic of my room monitor...have 2 dehu's running almost constantly to keep the humidity down...it's something wrong with the plants genetics and they are super susceptible.
I had Pm once years ago, I treated my plants with eagle 20, It' systemic, it's gnarley, it works and CURES the plant, everything else is just a temporary fix. try it on some clones and I bet you never see pm again.
Thank you, I will try that!

The residue from spraying is a shiny sheen, not white powder. Trust me, I know wpm all too well and can even diff from crystals pretty well now. You can see it in this pic from my last harvest, on the sugar leaves. Zoom in. I had to process half of the buds my last turn due to wpm, and only sprayed those once per week with plant dr, neem, and cocowet. As soon as I stopped spraying (week 3) it began proliferating like crazy. Then I started spraying SM-90 (safe throughout flower), but still had cut off most of the fan and sugar leaves the week before harvest to try saving the buds...image.jpg

I tried milk once... After having to scrub the stank out of my room I promised to never do that again! LOL!!

I have used GreenCure with good results.

What has worked for me is a ton of air movement and keeping the humidity below 45%

I have a large box type fan that blows across the floor and a large oscillating fan hanging from the ceiling. I also move 440 cfm out of the room constantly so I have fresh air coming in from the garage.
I do not spray anything in my flower room. If something needs sprayed it comes out so there is no moisture added to the room. Every time I had PM it was after the humidity in the room went above 50%.

I have brought home clones with pm and sprayed them with the GreenCure. The PM did not stick around after a few treatments.

Good luck !! Sucks to deal with PM...

Thank you! I'm willing to try anything at this point...have two more turns of this strain before I can change, or else lose grow time in between. Hoping to get rid of the issue!

You could try a diffrent strain that's more tolerable to mold and mildew . What medium you growing in??
