Are you sure it was a fly? Springtails can live in the soil and are beneficial.

edit: Also, do you have any fruit flies in the house at the moment? You might have just spotted a rare mutation.

ok just looked into that springtail insect... and from what i can tell or saw of the bug.. it didnt look too much like that .. but again, when i saw it.. i just lol freaked out and thought DESTROY BUG>.. like a friggin caveman.. and didnt really watch it too much .. to see what it actaully was doing.. but heh.. if it is.. i guess as long as there isn't an overabundance on moisture.. then there shouldnt be an outbreak.. right.. lol... not sure because my temps are controlled at 76-79 lights on... and 69-72 lights out.. and the humidity is pretty low.. normally around 35-45%

if you dont see anymore you should be fine... you can use neem oil until you are into flowering as a preventative measure, just make sure you dont get a whole lot on your buds if you are spraying during flowering as neem takes a couple weeks to a month to dissipate and can affect the taste of your buds. you should get a jewelers loupe or a microscope and look closer. check the entire plant the soil and especially the underside of the leaves.... some bugs such as spider mites can be very hard to spot until you have an infestation so make sure you check the entire plant over the course of the next couple weeks.. also you can put a piece of paper under your foliage and shake the branches to see if anything falls off of them... look hard they can be TINY

My plants have about 2-3 weeks left, and are budding nicely. In the middle of several buds I noticed brown deadened parts. After a closer look I realized there was also some sort of silk weaving all in there, and in the middle of that there were little worms (grey with black heads). Should I cut them down early or is there something I should try to use on them first? Will they destroy the whole bud?
