This is why I mulch like a mad man! 30 plus years of gardening in Texas and Oklahoma at least taught me that.
Got to agree with that. We buy straw 50 bails at a time. The guy knows what kind I like and usually that's what I get. Last years and hopefully been rained on so there won't be seeds.

I get 25 bales of prairie hay from a neighbor every year in the fall and put them around the foundation of our house on the north side. Really helps keep the house warm and the pipes thawed! Then I spread them on the garden in the spring, at least 6 inches thick. Keeps the worms near the surface, in the cooler, moister dirt, improving the soil year round!

There are several family members that grow here (they say). They want to grow on grandpa's farm, but they want grandpa to do the growing so I have to keep it as easy as possible. Mulch is it.

Last fall we got everything ready to drop seeds. Dug holes 4 feet dia and 1 1/2 deep and filled them with 1/2 soil and 1/2 compost. Then added super soil. This year all we had to do was make seedlings and put them out.

I though putting the mulch out in the fall might keep the ground too cold to plant but not. Got everything planned by the 2nd week of May just before the rains.

I hate to walk on the straw because I know I'm smashing worms.

If it wasn't for someone at OMMA giving me bad info on the laws mine wouldn't be in cages. Trees have grown since I made the gardens. Two of the plants don't get full sun until it's almost straight up. I won't use this spot next year. There is perfect place behind the chicken yard. It got really messed up during a very heavy rain. As soon as I get my tractor back from my son I'll move dirt in and make a garden. Now, this will be a little downhill from the chicken yard and right up to the fence so there should be no shortage of nitrogen. The ones in pots just get moved into the sun.

The way the OMMA told me was the plants had to be out of sight with a 6 feet high fence with a locked gate and that each MMJ card holder had to have his own garden. So you couldn't share with others in your family. What a lot of extra work. At least when my daughter gets card I can combine them. It's a bit late to start another one so she get the grow room this year.

Advice on flower nutes. Got any favorites. I need to buy some
Indoor, outdoor, hydro, soil?

If I was using RO water indoors I'd use Jacks Hydro 5-12-26 and calcium nitrate. IN coco and hard water I'm using the much more expensive Canna-coco for hard water, but it's easy.

Happy 4th my Oklahomies! Took this pic with a remote camera while hovering my drone with an LED belly light... 10 second exposure.

Killer pic, I only have about 6 more months of saving up Marlboro points and then that sick ass drone is all mine. It's a kids toy pretty much, but it flies and takes pictures and all I have to do is shake down my wife's coworkers for their Marlboro packs so it works for me. We're having a few buddies over for guns and ammo day up on the mountain today and the whole place smells like freedom. Red meat on the grill, tannerite going boom and legal weed later on. God bless America.

Man, I can't remember if we talked about this or not, you know us stoners don't have the best memory, but I've owned every Drone that DJI has ever put out except for the current Mavic 3 Cine.... Just not much better than mine (Mavic Air2) for the money.
