:weed:I have an old as TV just sitting in my side yard, it is about 2 ft T, 1 ft D, 2ft W, in the back it tapers up into a little area abbout 2ftw, 1ft-1.5ft T, 1ft DP that is for all the cables and crap inside the TV....I was thinking about taking it all apart, gutting the inside of all cables wires etc and just keeping the outter fram and screen and making an easy way to open it from the front, I could put a 150w ballast and other cords for some 42w cfls in the back area where the cords and such are now, I could mount the light on the top back area and a couple cfls on the sides, cover the inside in reflective material...I dunno just an idea since I just saw this TV sittin there I could even cut holes into the sides for ventilation anyone think this might work? I mean TVS put out heat and make a little noise and also always have cords running from them.. taking any ideas to help me develope this idea

thanks!

just make sure you have plenty of ventilation! Sounds like a good idea. I took and old dresser and gutted it. I saved all the drawer faces and fastened them all together to make a door. Totally stealth!!

yep yep im thinking a hole is the top corner for exaust out...with a small pc fan and maybe just leaving an open hole ont he other side...so that fan creates negative pressure and allows my box to breathe major prob is gonna be taking the front and turning it into a door somehow

Sounds like fun. You could grow the shorter autoflowering strains. Heat will be your main issue in something so small.

Have an intake and exhaust fan pushing and pulling the air and you should be fine. Cycling the air maybe twice or more a minute should keep the heat down. Providing the ambient temperature in the room was good to start with.

Making a hinge for the front might be easier than you think. Do you have any photos?
