Hi guys, about a week ago I tried old school, actually a friend of mine bought it.
The taste was great and I suddenly fall in love with it. The taste reminds me the other haze strains and the others agreed with me. So, I called it old school haze :D
Here is the dilemma; right now, this shit is my favourite strain and the thing is nobody remember which cofee shop they bought it from :(
I checked many strain index, however I couldnt find any information about it :((((

I really like to smoke it again, so any of you have any idea what it is.
And of course where can I get it, at least the seeds

gage green & ace are supposed to be 2 of the most legit sources for all things sativa. i can't remember the name of the other haze breeder that's supposed to be keeping it real, but i like what i saw from my holy smokes malawi gold before it got polkadot fried by my lamp's reflector's hot spots the night i forgot to turn my fan on. it looked like an IBL and smoked like one, but it hadn't developped it's trippiness yet. it was a nice start though and nowhere near as fussy as sativa seeds' highland thai full moon that turned hermie after taking forever to flip & 2 transplants.

while not as sativa dominant as REAL 15 week+ hazes, i REALLY love DNA's sweet haze as it's the best haze i've tried so far. unlike generics, it had true trippiness that instantly put a smile on my face and a delicious fruity flavor that embarrassed the competition too. all that from a 9 week strain works for me! i want to breed with more IBL leaning strains like malawi gold should be, but sweet haze is very very high quality, pun intended, all around. i imagine ace's 17-24 week old timer's haze is some crazy shit though if you have that much space and patience.

i'm interested in dinafem's super critical haze as it's allegedly bred from a really trippy rare line and dinafem has a rep for solid gear.

while a skunky leaning haze, high quality seeds' haze skunk is not shabby either. i don't care for the cheesy cigar wrapper skunk taste though it's manageable, but it's some seriously potent shit that goes toe to toe against california grown outtdoor columbian gold and beats it in almost every department except not having that light floaty feeling or as visual a trippy buzz. it's more potent, longer lasting, maybe more motivational & euphoric or at least equal and unlike gold, after a month when it's built up in your system and you're mildly buzzed all day on it, it still is no more stony than lead eye where you'd have to stop blazing gold a week or two to get your tolerance back down when it turns stony.

for faster flowering hazes, you should look into TGA's jack the ripper & sannie's killing fields. both are very indoor friendly and some of the trippiest stuff out there according to reports. i love jack's cleaner 2 myself. it has a little stone to it, but it's trippy and visual with it's own unique touchy feely buzz that's awesome in it's own right and every bit as gold if different. anything better than that will be my new #1 favorite

for "real deal" hazes. one grower here is seriously bonkers over ace's panama red and keeps telling me that's what i want to grow.

hope that helps. keep your hopes high and don't sell out to cash cropping mentality. we need more growers to fight back against bogus "bag appeal" propaganda and grow for quality over quantity.

Another option should be the Martian Mean Green by DNA genetics, full haze flavour. Try it, but you have to be patient, 14+ weeks.

I would try nevilles haze from mr. nice
+1.

But before you try planting something like this, understand that true haze plants are tough to grow.

The take a LONG time to finish flowering (as much as 16 weeks), and they love to STRETCH.

This is problematic indoors, because you can run out of space to grow these in, unless you use a lot of training from the beginning.

The space issue may not be problematic outdoors, but timing is. In most of North America and Europe winter comes and the frost kills these plants before they're done flowering.

It can be done outdoors in a GREENHOUSE, or in really tropical climate parts of the USA (eg South Florida, etc).

i think flying dutchman's haze is pretty damn great, my bro grew it for years, never came across a haze like it since, i guess its older genetics similar to the ones sensi and mr.nice have on their roster. really clear and up, the desirable traits you want in a haze.

Seedsman used to sell O haze great strain to but was on the longer side of 14wk.

i would doubt that many strains that take 15 weeks plus would suck.

it's awesome what breeders have done since the 80s with 12 weeks or less strains though. you VAN get too much of a good thing with pure IBLs. that one last big toke you shouldn't have taken is bitch! make it stop! make it stop! and whatever you do... DON'T try chugging a beer to induce sleep.

Oldschool haze is barneys newest brand which I think they'll probably enter into this years cup,.. But you can't get it at barneys... It's only sold in amnesia which is on the Singel if I remember right. Fine fine gear that, I've been back twice just to get a bit more. Amnesia is a top cafe too.
....despite my begging and pleading at amnesia and barneys, you just can't get seeds of it yet either, I think that'll come after the cannabis cup... At least I hope they will!

[edit]. ...just another thought for you, ..liberty haze by barneys is feminised, mostly sativa, 25%thc, nice taste, heavy yield, and flowers in just 60 days!!! I tried it recently in the dam, and it's nice, not quite as nice as the oldschool haze, but hey, a strong mainly sativa haze in 60 days!!!

It's not on the Singel, but close...it's a street that's parallel to the Singel but a bit more to the west. Also happens to be one of my favorite coffeeshops. They always have good smoke, and their food is great! Should really go get some of that Haze next time im in Amsterdam...probably October or November or something...

i REALLY would love to try ace's oldtimer's haze as it's purple and blackberry liquor flavor sound awesome enough and at 17-24 weeks, you know the genes haven't been pissed on much. i really wanted to use that as my IBL for making a purple grape haze using grape krush and/or the purps. it's an expensive strain though. i'm thinking of settling for cheaper OTH x thai. that should be decent enough.

if sativa seeds' highland thai full moon didn't like to hermie and just be fussy refusing to even start flowering, i'd actually prefer to use that as tutti fruity + grape would be even "purpler". not all thai's have that highland juicy fruit flavor. the cross sounds OTH dominant though which is good enough.

besides sweet haze, i really like HQS' haze x skunk. it's even more potent and long lasting than columbian gold and DOESN'T turn stoney after a month. i don't think it's as visual maybe, but it's better in most other regards except flavor unless you like blunts. then it's cheesy cigar wrapper taste would make you happier than me. VERY motivational strain! it got me to quit drinking AND lose 10 pounds in a month.

jack's cleaner 2 has too much of a body thump to be considered a haze, but it counters with a warm and fuzzy euphoric buzz that's very touchy feely. i hate getting stoned, but the total package in JC2 makes it my favorite as the stone is very functional and more of the body weight variety than sleepy sort. it can be very visual too

8 miles high is super fun too. it has a very clean buzz. no couchlock, but not racy either. it's a weird effect when energy is totally unaffected. then you're just left with playful euphoria that loves music and dancing and that has a precise body control effect similar to the light floaty heavenly feeling you get off real columbian. it's a really nice "mellow" 24/7 haze that would especially suit a noob as it's not as overpowering as haze skunk. mandala's satori is supposed to be even better and is in one grower's top 2 with bhangi haze i think.

if you want a real trippy haze strain that's indoor friendly, TGA's hideously named jack the ripper is trippy for real and sannie's even worse named killing fields is extra trippy too. either of those ought to be a good start, especially if you don't really want to get a low yield that takes 15 weeks or more to get from an IBL haze.

sannie's jack f7 is on my must try list too. that's a 12 week strain everyone calls world class that might just embarrass JC2 on the trippy senses front.

some day though, i at least want to try IBLs for breeding just to make sure i'm not starting with watered down genes in my personal breeding programs. now that i've tried some nice hybrids that aren't stony like blueberry and skunk #1, i'm liking those better as the more potent sativa dominant strains like haze skunk can bit you when you overdo them. room spinning dizzies is NOT a fun effect at all.
