old seed sprouting

I've got seeds that are over 10 to 15 years old. I have now been trying to get them to germinate for two weeks. One batch is in a dampened coffee filter, the other batch in plain water, and a few went straight to soil. The best I've gotten so far is 2 that have cracked the shell. The rest nothing. Even the two that cracked the shell, their root tip has yet to emerge.

So I had a crazy idea. I put cloning gel on the seeds. It got me to wonder has anybody ever tried this to increase their germination ratio? It seems in theory it should help improve it. Let me know and if any of my seeds get "stimulated" and grow i will report back.

Karma to ya!
