So I have a swimming pool close by that is full of leaves and critters and about half full of water...it hasn't been swam in for a year or two I think..and I could easily get water from it to use...but I was worried all the chemicals that ppl put in the pool wouldn't dissipate or still be present. ..does anyone think it would be ok...I'm sure it would be good for my plants if the chemicals aren't in it but I thought I would just check...it prob has alge side or w.e that stuff is and chlorine I'm sure...shock treatment hell idk...but I thought I would ask...it would save me time packing water and money from running g my well pump so much

Would advise against using that shitty chlorinated water. You should just drain the pool and skate it. What was the question again?

It's an above ground pool and I'm a snowboarder ..wish I could skate lol..I meen I can but it's kinda ugly...and the chlorine I'm not worried about..it is gone in no time..but the other shit concerns me

I definitely wouldn't feel safe using it. Never know whats still lurking. It's probably stagnant and full of who knows what kind of bad microorganisms. Id view it more as a cesspool than a resource

I know frogs sure ad shit like it in the summer time...I honestly don't feel right using it but then I think it's mostly rain water and hasn't had anything or anyone in it for years. ..idk..best bet is to prob avoid it

I guess if it's nothing but rain water then it might be worth a try. Water some grass with it for a few weeks and see what happens if you really want to know!

you could use it, i'd bet it's totally fine.
many yrs ago I used city water to water my plants, didn't age it or nothing, and that shit stank like chlorine. Plants grew without any issues.
it's probably not ideal though
but who's to say.
I do know that any and all microorganism in there ain't gonna hurt the plant, you can use stagnant water just fine. It's not like they get giardia guess the bottom line would be this, if algae and frogs are living in it? it's probably ok, but why gamble?
who knows, maybe some asshole sprayed roundup near it and it's contaminated with that..
I see fuck-tards EVERYWHERE using roundup...

I kinda figured it would be ok but I didn't want any chemicals messing upy organic grow...I'd say all the leaves in it along with w.e died in it and the critters that have grew in it might make it ok...I know for a fact nobody has sprayed any roundup or anythingof that nature
