Hey guys i had a couple of questions about ommp growing in rental properties. Im moving from the coast and looking to move back the the dallas salem area and will be renting a house. I need to continue to grow for my patients all of whom are family. What is the neccasary way to go about this? I want to be upright and honest with the rental company or landlord. Idk im very discreet def. legal as i have my son and wife, i just want to do my thing without any issues. Do i have to tell them?

Personally, I lean toward the "no disclosure" thing because then the landlord has plausible deniability. I'm also getting weirdly private in my old age, and don't want anyone all up in my shit. :-P

Here's an article about the landlord stuff:

A lot of rental companies have added "no OMMP" with their list of No No's ("no smoking, no pets"), so obviously you don't rent with those guys. If you're the ideal rental candidate (stellar credit history, references, income), you could wait until they've approved you, and then squeak in the line, "Oh, by the way, I'm an OMMP patient, and I grow for X number of people, is that a problem?" They might be still willing to deal.

I wish you luck. Your task shouldn't be made harder by taking the honest approach, but I fear it will be. Keep us posted.

I agree with staying away from the postings that say "no ommp." Grow discreetly. Be a good neighbor... not bringing over cookies, but keeping the yard nice looking. I found that goes a long way. If the landlord finds out (try to get a person or small company... someone who might/can bend the rules) plead ignorant. "I purposely stayed away from postings that said 'no ommp' and I'm sorry. Can we work something out? "
If you explain it is for your family's legal medical needs, pay the rent on time, you're a family man, place looks neat and cared for, a small rental company or private owner probably would relax if they don't get complaints.
What do I know, though? :D
