Once my plant is ready to harvest...

I have an outdoor plant going.

I am in the process on making my box.

I have 4 "PHILIPS 120WATT ARGO-LITE" lights.

I know to cut circular holes in the box.

Do you think 4 120watt lights are too much for drying out the nugs?

What the hell are you talking about?? oh , welcome to the forum. Starting multiple threads a few minutes apart will get you noticed, it won't help you get advice. We are not all just sitting in front of our computers waiting for your question. Chill, nothing bad is gonna happen in the next ten minutes.
No, I think you will learn something if you put those buds in a box, with 4-120 watt lights drying out the buds. Be sure the holes are round. And deburr them. VV

Because the spot I am going to hang up the buds in, is a cool dampy area.

You can pretty much say it's a basement! I figured it'd be too cool for the nugs to dry out, so I figured I'd use light, if I could dry them without lighten then I'd do that.

u want it to be cool, never use any kind of light to dry your buds, u want it dark and cool, light degrades the T.H.C

Jus hang them bitches in a box with a fan and wait a week.. then u gotta put them buds in a mason jar for another week to cure it.. so ur better off to chill.

thats what i was thinking.. As far as i know, you need them in a dark, cool place. Because light on the buds at this stage degrates the THC as Mike Jones mentioned, plus if your putting a light bulb over them, you might as well throw it in the oven while your at it!

Sorry Mike, where I agree that a heater or a bulb is very very not good for dryng, I live in a dry climate and if I just hang my buds in a closet, they turn crispy and useless...I use a box with holes cut on the side and a fan blowing through. The wife even knitted me some nice coverings for the holes to keep it extra dark.
The fan's working fine.

no worrys man, do what works for you.
So basically, what you're saying is no fans or heaters to dry the buds? Let them dry naturally? So, what about this Mason jar for curing....what is a mason jar? Sorry guys for sounding inexperienced....What happens in the process of curing, what does this do?
Thanking you guys for your responses in advance!:blsmoke:

please read the faq's on the subject you will find lots of info and i believe they even have a dry box illustration. don't rush it. when they talk about a fan they aren't saying go and get a high volume fan just something like a computer fan. just to keep the air moving heat is very bad for your bud dont use a light or heater let it dry naturaly when it is still a bit moist (not crispy) take your bud and put it in to a Jar (glass is preferable) and maybe one or two of those silica packs that will absorb some of the excess moisture. air them out 15 to 30 mins a day and in a week you will have some fine bud to smoke just be patient the best teacher is experience.

oh and the curing is balancing the moisture in the bud so that it isnt to harsh and will light and smoke instead of flaming up and burn out before you get to smoke
