One week old sprout problem

So I've started 2 of Nirvana's Blackberry seeds, germed them fine and they sprouted fine, but something odd is happening with the stems as of the past two days. The stems themselves are purple, but two days ago they appeared to shrink in the middle and turn a real light green, almost transparent. I killed one becuase it was falling over at that spot but the other is doing it now too, not really sure what to do or whats wrong. I looked through the plant problems sections but I didn't find anything that really described my problem at all, and from what I searched I coudln't find anything in 5 or 6 pages. Anyone have any solutions, diagnosis or anything would be great thanks.

pictures would help. as far as the falling over use a bread tie and stick it next to the young plant and let it rest till its strong enough to stand by itseld. stems being puirple in the beginning are the color they are its normal.

what kind of soil do you have them in? what kind of pots? lights? What kind of water are you giving them?

Sorry for lack of info, but hopefully ill get pictures up in the next few days. Soil is Ferry Morse Organic Seedling Starter Mix. Both in the red beer pong cups, have 2 100w CFL's about 3 or 4 inches away. I'm jusing just bottled water that I let sit out for a day or two before actually using it to water them. No extra nutes added other than what might be in the soil already. And it's not the purple part of the stem I'm worried about, its the light green part where it seems to condense and shrink right at that point, again sorry for no pic's but hopefully in a day or two ill have some up.

Also, first two leaves (fake I think they are reffered to?) but hte original ones have curled down about halfway, the part that is curled down has a hint of brown to it, the first to actual leaves go from a healthy green on the inside and turn slightly lighter at the tip, not sure if its connected to the actual stem problem that I'm more concerned about but everything is pretty much connected somehow.

edit** - yes have a small laptop fan running on it at all times, nothing overpowering and the temps never get above 79 degrees.
