My friend would like to do a greenhouse (in a medical state but not california or any of the legit medi states) and was wondering if the opaque greenhouse/hoophouse poly would work. He is thinking something like this http://www.greenhousemegastore.com/product/overwintering-film-5mil-white/6-mil-polyethylene-film ........ Has anyone seen a greenhouse using this type of poly. He would like to use it so no one can see into the greenhouse (helicopters, noisy neighbors ect...). He would like to hear from people with experience but any imput is welcome. Thanks in advance RIU community!!!!

In our 'modern' world its rather obvious that that young man has a interesting greenhouse on his property ....lol anything opaque will reduce those precious lumens,, its a question by how far?

always always follow your neighbors with shit like this, even grow tomatoes etc etc to avoid suspicion

What do you mean follow your neighbors? I am looking at getting a house with plenty of land and no neighbors in sight. There is a growing movement to grow your own food and what not. I plan to surround the greenhouse with tons of veggies and im probley going to get a bunch of chickens maybe a lama or 2. Any other thoughts on a opaque greenhouse would be appreciated.....

I use a Lexan brand cloudy colored single pane corrugated poly skin and lose 10% light. The diffusion of the remaining light is awesome, no shadows. Gives great light distribution to all sides of plant. I also include some clear panels for UV exposure as the Lexan blocks UV.

Not familiar with the brand your are looking at but they should publish info on the performance.

Forgot to mention, have run with 30% shade screen and do not recommend it. Lost significant bud density.
