Hey Everyone,
I am just trying to see what people think is the best strain for doing a scrogg table or screen....
you know when you flatten a perfectly good plant that is 5 feet tall and flatten it out to 2 feet tall and then tie it down to a net or a wire screen so it produces a bunch of even hieght bud sites that make the plant a super producer..... for everyone but me. Dont get me wrong my scroggs have produced way more then my normal plants but my friends and there "special fucking strains" are still kicking my ass !!! BADLY !!!!
fOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE GOOD AT THIS........... Please help me with the proper strain selection so I too can be as cool as my fucking friends................or dickheads because they wont tell .............
anyways I am all ears.........Thanks

Imho it's not a single strain thats best for a scrog, but more of a height issue, short to medium height genes seem to work best for me in their natural shape or just a topping here and there, I scrog sativa leaning hybrids usually for height purposes, same as sativas, short indica plants get the ol single cola sog treatment,I plan on doing a batch of db x livers in this fashion:peace:

Edit: I used to be a firm believer in the scrog setup, but honestly the more verticle grows I watch the more a scrog seems like a huge waste of space to me, check out the verticle grow section and see what those guys are doing, you might even find the answer to your question there

I've found that Blueberry Gum from G13 Labs via Attitude to be a reliably short, fast bushy indica ideal for a sog.

When the vegging plant is as tall as it's pot is a good time to top the BG to control height and increase uniformity of phenotype. You want all the plants to get topped/FIM'd at the same time, again, to keep them uniform. The BG is also perfect for cloning. Fast and reliably rooting around days 8-10 in the dome.

Your SOG grow, like my perpetual grow, rely on strains that all do the same thing at the same time, eh? There's a lot of trial and error involved so I would keep a detailed journal. Also, make sure each plant has an individual ID# so you can tell them apart.

Good luck, BigSteve.
