Ordered a LED, what do you think?

Hello everyone!

I ordered a 300w IR Full Spectrum LED panel for my 2 Master Kush plants that have been in veg stage for 90 days and flow stage for 2 days now. I have read about LED's and decided to purchase this one since I think it is cheap for its effectiveness, and is recommended by many growers out there.

Now I am curious to hear your opinions and/or experiences using LED's. Did it reach your expectations? What about the yields? Im excited about this one, since I've used CFL's so far, so im also excited to hear your opinions aswell!

I'm not against leds, but you're most likely not gonna be happy wth the results.

Anytime you see Schottky diodes like that thing has you should run. Never a good sign and some panels' Schottkys actually draw wattage when the panel is powered on, which means you are paying to power diodes that give off no light. Crazy. Having said that it will probably be a good veg panel for a bit but mystery diodes are always a crap shoot.

Meh... Probably too good to be true. For $100-$150 you can get an HID or Fluorescent setup that is guaranteed to work. My 3x3 tent is running 1 degree above ambient temps with a 400w hps aircolled hood and only a 180CFM fan.

I bought a $75 LED and used it once. The weed was awful. It seemed to be undercooked or more vegetative material than trichomes.

Thanks to ya'll! Really appreciate your answers. I will try it out and add it with the CFL's (200W in total) I have running currently.

I like the idea of running with CFL's... I felt the LED was missing something so I also combined with CFL.

I have only grown with LED and anyone will tell you my shit is top notch.

Anyone that talks shit just don't know or they used bad LED panels.

Why mix with CFL?
Run that shit straight up so you know if it is good or not.

I use CLW leds, I don't think you can think cheap with LED. CLW is rather expensive, but it's more potent. I flowered some plants (purple crack) from seed, it was more potent than what I got in the dispensary. I have a 600w hps, haven't used it because of heat concerns. . I was going to use it for winter, but with my current results from LED I may not. I'm sure 600w hps is the golden standard but my LED definitely doesn't bleach, and the buds are nice and frosty.. I'm a new grower and only use base soil like ffhf/ffof, I use regular nutes from fox farm.. i lst, about to try topping. I imagine a advanced grower could double what I yield.
