The eagle has landed... They even sent me a freebie! I'm unsure of the two strains, do they usually tell you on the syringes?

Congrats on embarking on the mush stuff Mr. V. Kush. Nice one man. You will be very pleased with the popcorn tek. And when compared to pftek cakes as far as potency, speed of colonization, and overall substrate reliability you will not be disappointed. Trust me. Even if you currently had some cakes colonized. I would just tell you to break em up and transfer a spoon of each to a jar of good ol pcorn. As far as manure is concerned. You can use poultry manure if you can't find horse or the type of shit that you desire. The only thing is with poultry is that you can't use as much since it is so high in nitrogen, and may burn/mutate your shrooms during fruiting. The average amount is 5% of the dry substrate weight. Some would say a small handful. Also, you may want to pick up a bag of gypsum and/or non-dolomitic lime for ph control. You can get them all for probably under $20. And if the store doesn't carry exactly what you need. You can always get them delivered to your local store without paying for shipping. As far as tupperware/tote box size is concerned. Try the 56 quart Sterilite. At target they are $6 each tall and wide enough for any applications. Good luck. Other supplies to consider if you are going bulk with/without casing are: a coupla bricks of coco coir, extra vermiculate, perlite, peat moss. All these extras under $30 depending upon amount of each. Good luck. I think that you will do very well.

That's kind of on the low side if you go by the estimate that they are 10:1 fresh to dried. Still should be a worthwhile experience though. I'd go for the 30g-40g wet range.

If I had 40 G I would have ate it.Testing the Brazilillians was the objective. Not bad at all.....I'll be doing 50g doses next week.

I have everything I need (except some tyvek), but.... I finally got my puppy and she's been a handful. Once she settles into her new home a little more I'm going to begin this adventure.

Keep us posted man. It's a great hobby. I feel like growing weed is 10x more work than growing mushrooms, but growing mushrooms is 10x harder than growing weed.

25 grams wet = about 2.3 grams dry but in compensation, the wet will deliver more psylocin (or the reverse, I never remember which is which), as the psylocin is destroyed in the drying process. It is a good, standard, over the threshold dose. I find 45 grams wet is a pleasant, middle of the road dose.
