Oregon Rec. Grow

Thanks! When I put that plant amongst the logs, I was hoping they would provide some shelter, but I wasn't really planning ahead. As far as the rope and screw eyes, I over-build everything. It's just my nature.

I've found those eggs a few times in the yard, and twice on pot plants. I also think its some kind of moth, and I've definitely removed them. I've barely sprayed at all this year compared with last. This summer has been a strange one, we'll see how it ends.

Are you doing your "no rain" dance? I guess we need to dance backwards...

Your plants are lookin' nice HR! I dig that it takes two logs to hold down that one girl - cause it looks so bad assed. I get the real, practical reason though, too...

I'm not a fan of killing insects: just because. I would be making an exception here and suggesting you dispatch 'em. The vaguest answer I came up w/ my 10 minutes of Google research is moth eggs and that would be all she wrote.

Girls are all looking good guys! I think my sugar black rose plant has some pm...just pulled 50+ leaves with white/Gray discoloration. Is she doomed? Is it still worth it to cover or will it just keep spreading? Not sure how much longer she has but at least another month.
I have heard you can spray with a milk or lemon juice mix. Not sure how much it needs to be diluted. Maybe @Vnsmkr knows the recipe.

Just got done hitting the girls with a second application of flying skull nuke em. Fingers crossed that it checks the pm. Didn't find any on buds, just fan leaves and lower down where air flow is probably limited. Also, is anyone growing oregon diesel? I think she is getting close, been flowering since early July, West coast chronics site says 55 to 65 days. Maybe another week or two?

This is my first year in 4 years I haven't had a straight OD. But the earliest I pulled one was Sep 6, latest Sept 14.
I have an OD I crossed with Amnesia Hashplant and I chopped them yesterday!

Right on Peter, thanks for the info! Did you wait for a few amber trikes before harvest? I keep looking but haven't seen any yet. That's awesome that you harvested yesterday, good time of the year :)

Yeah. I generally shoot for around 10% -15% Amber. Hard not to get anxious and jump the gun.. But sometimes weather also dictates!

Are you growing outside? How're your plants looking? Mine (Afghani x Chem Diesel) are starting week 7 of flowering. The plants are a bit sparse but thickening, heavy colas. The pic has two plants that are 50" high.

Show us your outside Oregon grow, and thanks.

Paraphrasing my worst Terry Jacks (an' who the hell was Terry Jacks?) we have joy, we have fun, we see colas in the sun...

CBC on the left and el Baggo on the right. DK's stump of mystery on the other right. @kowski {& I don't mean to be snarky} this is the outdoor growing section. 99% of the posts should be outdoor related! Right?
Beautiful! :) Nice shape and great cola development.

Damn, I wish mine were that far along.

Nice plants, Jet and "colas in the sun" -- certainly a 'happy thought'

I totally agree..... I'm envious as hell. I'll be well into Oct for most of mine.
Me too, October for sure. While September is generally not too bad, October seems pretty predictable in my micro-climate... cold wet and windy. Only the strong will survive. Next year, I'll either build a greenhouse or do light dep -- or both. This is only my second outdoor, but I'm finding that this is just too much time and work (and $ expense) to gamble with every year.

On that note, one of my LSD's is showing PM across much of the lower leaves. I had the choice to cut the branches or spray them. I decided that rather than shock the plant by removing so much of it, I'd just carefully spray the shit out of the lower half of the plant -- knowing that come harvest we'll take the top colas and compost the rest. We'll see how that goes, hopefully it saves a significant amount (I'd guess there's at least 8 oz up in the top 1/3 of the plant). LSD was 'advertised' as fast finish and "disease resistant" (perhaps my false assumption that they meant fungi resistant?) -- and it's proving to be neither. Beautiful plant, but not one I'll run again, at least not outside.

In my non-growing days, it seemed that the fall rains would come at the end of October. Last year (first year growing) I cut early because of bud rot; which I attributed to dew, the lessening intensity/warmth of the sun, and the half assed covers I jigged up. I was just running bag seed last year. Rains for us came right on schedule: Nov. 1st. So far I've been dodging the PM, a leaf or two here and there.

My wife works a straight job and can't be smelling of pot. This morning she came up to me, after a garden stroll, and asked me to smell her shoulder: she had brushed up against a cola. Sorry Honey, you have to change your top!

I had a spot of PM on my Bag Seed Tester #1. I cut that leaf and bud away, then sprayed with a lemon/water mixture. Will wait and see how it does.

My other Bag Seed Tester #1 in another patch {which is further along because it is older} split where I had topped it. If I would have had tape with me, I could have saved it. But I propped it up with a stick. All looked good until it fell again, breaking for real that time. I've got the bud drying now.
