Organic Germinating -> seedling

I am looking to start germinating, it was suggested to start by just putting the seed directly into the soil and maintain moisture. I have a 1000w induction light but it seems like a bit overkill. Should I use a less intensity light? If so, what would you suggest?

I use cfls for veg and HPS for flower. I got a 6 bulb diy cfl rig I use for the first few weeks, if I want to veg longer I put them under my HPS at about 4 weeks for the rest of the veg period I am looking for. CFL's don't penetrate well but they are great for young plants and your power bill.

I germ in a cup of water until the seed cracks open a little bit then into dirt, usually only takes 24 hours to crack for me. This is just preference a few ways to germ seeds all work. I like knowing what I am putting in the dirt is viable.

I use paper towel method in germinating my seeds.

I moistened a paper towel put it on top of a plate. Put the seeds on top of the wet paper towel, then cover the seeds with another paper towel. Get another plate, turn it upside down then cover the other plate.

Make sure to keep the paper towel moistened by using a water spray. Once you see some sprout with roots, use a tweezer to pick them up and transfer them to the dirt or wherever you want them to grow.

I have 90-100% germination rate with it.

For light, I use CFLS and HPS.

Your induction light should work if you keep it high enough so not to fry your seedling.

I use 42 true watt CFL's, I have them in a Y splitter for the first bit I use 2 then 4 then 6 bulbs as they grow.

20's work well too, I just have the 40's already

I soak seeds in a cup of water til they sprout. 2-4 days. Then plant directly in soil . Then they pop up 1-3 days later. I sprouted 20 seeds under 420w induction the last time

I have always planted directly to soil personally. I used the paper towel at first, but after losing a tap root to it sticking to the towel (granted my fault it dried out) I just figured mother nature doesn't have paper towels handy when germinating seeds, why should I need them.

Aside from what i would consider faults in the genetics themselves, you know the ones, buy a 10 pack and get one plant to sprout. I have had impressive germ rates just dropping beans an inch down, water a bit, then I just use a spray bottle to keep the top from drying out until they sprout.

I have been doing this for the last three years and it works every time for me. I put them in a small cup with about two table spoons of r/o water n let them soak for twenty four hours. Then i soak some soil in a cup. Poke a hole, in goes the bean....1-3 days later there they are. I only leave them in a cup until they have enough roots to transplant.

Forgot to mention i put them in a cupboard whole they are in the water

I just popped a 5 pack of qrazy train .they were about 4 days old under a t5 6 bulb then i took them today and moved them to a new room today with a 400w MH should i be worried about that ?

get a piece of paper towel wet put the seed in it then put it in a warm dark place. literally all u have to do

Don't put them close to the light, I keep my seedlings on the floor and the light at like 3.5 feet for my other plants.

Thats about what i keep mine too lol i was hoping when i went in today they were good and they were. Pics were taken after watering before cleanup

I'm running my 400 at about 30 inches since seed, quite vigorous growth and no signs of heat stress at all, no glass, no air cooling on the bulb either, passive venting in the tent is all as well. 8/8 germed straight to soil as well in this last run just this week.
