organic pesticides

Beneficial nematodes work better than any bottle you can find for soil dwellers. Sulfur dustings work very well. Look up the "dirt doctor" he is a major organic guru here in Texas. His website is awesome because he makes recommendations based on the specific pest you are dealing with. I won't grow anymore without nematodes though.

I dont have any problems yet. Im just planning ahead just in case. I have really good mold resistant strain and dont want pests ruining it for me. So ill try the nematodes.

I've been wondering and would nicotine be an effective organic pesticide? Like if you took raw tobacco leaf and make a concentrated tea of it to spray on the plants. And I'm sorry if this is thread jacking a little bit here. This is not my intention, it is to bring to light possibly a great organic (and pretty hardcore) pesticide.

Nicotine teas can work as a pesticide, but they can also spread tobacco mosaic virus to your cannabis plants. I won't risk it.

Perhaps so called-ejuice could help this...what are your thoughts? Edit: oops prolly not organic. Says here:http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/pp/notes/oldnotes/tb1.htm that North Carolina loses 1-2% of their crops due to the virus, reckon that means they take precautions to keep it out of the product which means it is prolly safe to make a tea out of that product. I haven't tried though either lol someone do it and make a journal!

TMV spreading to cannabis is a myth, use google and read some science on it! These forums actually have people believing that one!

Sticky....never heard of BTk. I will have to look into that one sometime. BTi does not seem nearly as effective as people say.

Kalyx....I admit - I took the TMV info at face value after hearing it in so many places. Usually, I am good about looking stuff up on scientific/horticulture websites before sending it on its way. You caught me being lazy. I still think I will stick with nematodes over tobacco. I don't smoke, and nematodes have been wonderfully effective.
