Hey Pro, I just did a big update on my journal. I harvested last night! I took a bunch of pics... It will be awhile before I get to take pics of growing buds again. Here is a link if anyone would like to take a look. : )

Thanks for the welcome! I think I have some "pre flowers?" Tiny hairs growing out from the centers of leaf groups. I can't figure out how to upload a pic from my phone! LOL. But I'm thrilled.

Does anyone have any experience using these? All Screen Bubble Hash Bags Ice Extractor 5 Gallon 3 Bag Set 220,73,25 Microns. I have been to their website and everything seems simple enough.

Hello, I'm back with my photo, finally! Here we are, 7 days into 12/12. Are these the beginnings of flowers? All three plants are at the same stage. I think it's good...

Yup those are flowers, in about 8 to 9 more weeks you'll have some nice buds to chop ;-)
yippeeee! thank you! I have a question. I saw a tutorial where a grower trimmed fan leaves that blocked the light from developing flowers. If I do that should I avoid trimming leaves that are connected to flowers, like the one in the pic?

I would avoid removing any leaves, but that's just me. You can pick of a couple fan leaves that might block a couple better bud sites, but besides that leave the plant be. Removing the smaller leaves that are in the buds, completely unnecessary, and will do more damage then good.

Remember, the plant takes up energy and breathes through those leaves.

totally agree, leave them leaves alone ;)

been there, tried that, did do a full de-leaveing on one plant a few grows back, sure the smaller Bud sites lower down get a bit more light down there, but you take away the "solar panels" from the upper Buds so to speak, instead of some top Buds you get a lot of medio Bud`s if you want to put it simple, instead look in to pruning, remove lower Bud`s site`s so the plant with all its root mass will use all its energy on them top Bud site`s close to the light

OK, thanks for the advice. I did hang some bulbs about halfway down the plants, yesterday, as there are a fair number of flowers on the lower part of the plants. I will sit on my hands and try not to tinker!

lol yea, as already mention, a single fan leaves here and there thats clearly block a nice Bud site or two is ok to remove, tho try to tuck em in/under instead, less stress on the plant in flowering and the leaves is also the "lungs" of the plant so to speak, it do take up moister or let moister evaporate trough its pores located under its leaves and also use em to take up Co2 and in the end it can use any stored nutrients left in them, so many reason to leave em on, let its do its thing its know how, just try to keep optimal conditions, etc. 74-78F and 50%ish RH with some air circulation, get your water schedule on track and learn to read your plant`s

Update time - things are progressing well. So far I have identified three strains in the bloom room. Girl Scout Cookies, White Russians and Bubba Kushes. I will identify the others as the flowers and smell continue to develop. I think I might play around with turning some purple. So far I read that it can be accomplished by reducing the temperature in the room. My room temperature drops at night was using a heater at night to keep the temps from dropping to low. Any suggestions on the best way to do this. Like how low the temps needs to be and for how long and when you should start lowering the temps. And them again I might just keep things going as there and just grow a purple strain. I just like experimenting.

Thanks,

Peace! Enjoy the weed.

Hi ,

I have a couple Jordan of the islands Lemon Skunk plants grown from seeds. I made an attempt to mainline them. They look pretty nice. They have just completed their 2nd week in 12/12 and starting the 3rd week. Problem, I still see no signs of flowers. All my other plants show flowers at the end of the first and beginning of the 2nd week. So I'm not sure what is going on. Why no flowers after 2 weeks 12/12? Does mainlining slow things down or could it just be the genetics? Any advice is appreciated. I will continue to wait and keep an eye on them. From what I can tell, they are females. But I'm still new so I could be wrong. If that's the case I need to remove them from the bloom room quickly. I will post pictures if it will be helpful. Thanks Peace!

this question may sound stupid, but i'll ask it anyway... Does harvesting kill the plant? With our other plants we cut them down to bare stalk and they grow back in a few weeks. Is it the same for cannabis?

hi GS. Some nice pics of the garden. How long did you veg those plants that have a delayed flower? Might be popping in the next couple days. I wouldn't sweat it until you see ball sacks bro. Could just be the strain or immature plants. Can't really help you on the temp drops. Stew and Dank are doing a lot of that to pull the purps out. Maybe they can advise on the details for getting the temps in the ballpark?

Finally got around to chopping today, full pics in my thread but here is my POTD :D
Nice work HB. Real monster. Seem like it was just yesterday we harvesting the other SD and you were just popping this one into the cab. What's next?

Looking good SLIP. Can't wait to try this strain out for myself.

Like what I see. Looks like ADT & SLIP took care of the questions. Off to a good start, keep them green!

Some growers re-veg the plants after the harvest, but it's not a common practice because of the time loss and large size of the plant. Most indoor growers toss the root balls after harvest or compost them into the soil like I do. If you are looking at re-vegging, consider keeping a mother of a good strain and taking clones from her. Cloning is a much faster and more reliable method for keeping an all year garden and from just one seed.

Day 40 of 12/12.
Just showing how green the room is.

Green it is my friend. Are you running a separate veg area Jon?

If you leave just enough vegetation on a plant to support life, yes you can re-veg your baby. However it can take forever, and grow weird, and crap with some strains. I suggest taking a clone before flower.

Built like a tank, bright as the friggin sun. Great customer service, and great build quality. Let's hope they do their job in the garden.
Peace & Love. Myco
