Our favorite game: Name that deficiency!

Seriously though, haven't had any deficiency problems so far (in my experience of only one pretty decent grow). these plants are very young and came to me as clones in solo cups. I've had them a week, and one of the strains (one out of three) starts looking like this. they came in some sort of coco mixed with perlite. the guy I got them from said to go ahead and feed them some veg nutes, but im nervous to feed such small plants when im not even sure what deficiency it is.0928151456.jpg 0928151456a.jpg

By looks.... Overwatering and nitrogen.

But it could be many things.

I'd plant in soil I know will work and use just water for a while.

Usually dying off is due to a burn right? So light or nute burn.
If the others are fine then I wouldn't logically deduce that it's overwatering if you're treating all the same.
So it could be something with that specific soil. That's why I'd repot that one personally.

The leaves do look fat like overwatering to me tho.

They had about a single day cycle of being too close to the light, so the color lightened just a tad, but those spots were there when I got them. Literally, thats not just me deflecting responsibility. they probably need to be fed, but im very hesitant to feed such small plants. I made a big mistake of giving my og yoda's a full dose of recommended nutrients and fried a bunch of leaves :(

Weeks later I gave a one third dose and some of them still got a little burned at the tips. so i'm kind of shrugging my shoulders on the nutrients a little. Scared to kill these little ones.

i wish some growing gods would chime in.

If they came in a coco perlite mix.....are you gonna use soil or stay with that mix and go hydro?

For me I'd be replanting them in dirt and new dirt will have enough nutes on them for a little while. Maybe couple weeks of its good medium.

I don't know what you mean by brown spots. I don't see color all that well so maybe I'm not seeing it. If you're talking about the burnt part of the leaves then that's burnt from nutes or light. Could your water be shit and you're giving them too much chlorine?

nah, i have a pretty successful grow with this water. My guy told me there a little small to transplant yet, so to wait another week. they will be going into roots organics soil, so im in a week of a waiting, wondering if i should try and feed them a small amount before I transplant, that particular strain needs some love, as you can see. the others are looking alright though.
