Wanted to share my weekend getaway with the wife to Colorado for those thinking about visiting. First off we planned our trip to Co specifically for mj. And we were not the only ones on the plane for that reason. Co will flourish with Pot tourism I don't care what anyone says. We flew to denver on a Friday afternoon. Rented a car since the airport is actual 30 min from downtown. On the way to town we stopped at the MedicineMan. It was amazing to walk into a place to buy mj and nothing can happen to you! Ver nice gentlemen with a holstered gun checks your id and ask if your rec or med. we were rec so we were pointed to the left. Bought a couple joints and off to the hotel. We chose, based on what we could find online, what we thought was going to be a safe hotel for us to smoke and relax. Pulled up to the hotel valet met us at the car and I asked "are we allowed to smoke on the balconies" his response "yes sir you can. And yes, as long as you are respectful you can smoke whatever you want". We knew we were in the right place and tipped him well. Hotel balcony was private. Hotel was top notch. The wife and I visited boulder and estes park for some romantic time. She drove and I stayed high. I was surprised to see that there isn't any advertising for mj in Colorado. Been to Cali and there is advertising everywhere for med mj. Colorado there is nothing. Unless you drove by a place that sells it you wouldn't even know it. Yes the tax is high on it. But that's ok with me. When you buy it they seal it in a bag. Don't open the bag till you get to your room. Open bag in the car and you can get in trouble. The wife and I had a great time and had some interesting conversations about it with the locals. Was fun talking to them about it. Sunday morning got high and flew home. My advise.....go to Co. Have fun. Don't get high and drive and be stupid. As for the rumors that places are running out of mj. I didn't see it. Both places we went had plenty. As for long lines we didn't have any of that either. Even Saturday afternoon we walked right in and out. I'm excited about what Co has done and I spent some good tourist dollars there to show my support. I can't see how this can go wrong for them. Hope it spreads like a wild fire!
