Out of town for a week - how to water?

Hello. I'll be leaving for a trip and I'll be away from my plants for a full week and I'm nervous about the watering situation. I currently water the plants by hand. Are there any options that work well for the short-term? Thanks!

I wouldn't rely on those things to water my plants. When I left for 10 days I just filled a drainage dish with a couple gallons of water and let the soil wick up the water when needed, it worked like a charm.

if they're in the soil, take a 5 gal bucket, an drill a tiny hole so it just barely drips, then set it next to the plant. if it's in a bucket, a wicking rag from the 5gal water bucket, or siphon hose to a deep drip pan(passive hydro).

If you have a good local hydro shop they should sell Soilmoist, they are absorbent beads, and they work well.

Be careful when using them though, becuase they expand when they absorb the water, and if you put to much in your soil it will push your plant out of the pot/ground. Just read the instruction and use a bit less then what they say.

If you cant get soilmoist, then i would use some sort of wick system like many others said.

Best of luck, and ill pray for rain <3
