The island does not flood. The island is located next to a creek. The creek is too small for boats so I wont have to worry about that. I am gonna spread human hair, blood and piss atound the place so animals keep away. Im also building a fence. Im going to buy slug pellets to keep slugs away.

you should wait till the best time of the year to grow outdoors and if you do grow in the forest. make sure you pick a good spot were it get a lot of sun speacially in the morning and plant them near bushes or other trees so its harder to see them and make sure you keep it on the d-low and make it a one man operation if you can.....plus the best weed ive ever smoked was outdoors

good call on the slugs. that will be your biggest worry to start. pest cutworms are brutal also. they just chop 'em down then leave. it might be good to get them good and healthy indoors under flors first. save a lot of loss in the beginning. grow it!

i think MAYBE, i could be wrong, but isn't there some kinda cougar urine scent somewhere. seems like i heard of this somewhere. or you could milk a cougar. but, i mean no disrespect, this morgue approach to me is morbid. how much would you have to spread? do the rabbits care? is there some kind of chalk circle involved? candles? :confused:

hey russ this is what origainaly brought me to this site with a little care an some conservation on my part got 1and3/4 pounds off 2 outdoor plants 2 yrs in a row grew em right with tomatoes and cukes!Best lookin pine trees I NEVER SAW!Shit has been gone for months but it didnt take a whole lot of work to get something half decent out of nothing (plant prod and H2O) try it keep em where YOU can see em and let Nature do her work!Sometimes its magic sometimes it is not.Just remember it all started ou that way!

The chicken wire is a good choice I have used it myself but deer and like animals can just push it down u may be better to use a stiffer wire like some kind of woven wire fence. Also you can use some of your own urine around the spot to ward off some animals just dont do it too close to your plants. Try putting the wire where you want to grow and stand back see if you can see it try to camoflauge it best you can.

All of you who said people will find my plants I appreciate the your comments but I am so sure that no one will find my plants because the spot I have choosen is too perfect. There is a flood plain allong the creek that goes through the forest. It basically is a series of small ditch's surrounded by tall grass. There is a Island in the middle off all this but you cannot tell by the look of it.The soil on this island is gold.

I am thinking chicken wire fence will be decent protection from animals. I saw in a diffent thread about someone throwing out the idea of attatching a car battery to there fence. I dont know if this would work of not but if it does i think its a great idea to keep the animals away that and the fact that it on a island does not make it worst

I am thinking of growing 10 seeds in this plot 5 more in another and 5 more in another

As for bugs I think i will use Nature friendly pesticed.

Im gonna chance it plus it will be fun hopfully the weather will be good

i grow in and out ,and if you want to use chicken wire light a fire outside when it is down to the coals rub the chicken wire all over it or vice versa and it darkens it all up and seems to stay shitty even after rain,as long as there is a bit of heat in the coals.
as far as bugs i hope the good bugs eat enough of the bad bugs ,and i piss everywhere to leave my smelly scent,and my dogs piss every where,i lose some to roos and rabbits ,and such but dont you have bears over there?
i dont like the sound of bears roaming around,as pissed off skippy is one thing,but fuck those big creatures with fucking claws.

man, australias amazing. such crazy animals. u actually have to worry about kangaroos fuckin up ur crop!? im just wondering, do squirrells and bears look fucked up to you being that ur used to seeing kangaroos n such?

i mean seriously, if somebody were to tell me that australia was hit with massive amounts of radiation yrs ago, id probly beleive it just because of how weird the animals look

squirils i have seen in the u.k but bears no fucking way,i had a mate from churchill in canada,and he said it was common for bears to come into town,i think he said polar bears?? but that would freak me out.
roo,s can be very agro if they choose or maybe if they have young joeys,but i dont fuck with them and they hop past,you do not want a bunch of them hopping a path via your crop as they would flatten it i reckon,but i have been lucky i feed the local bandicoots so they are happy,if you think the animals are weird,look up cassowary?not sure of spelling,but it is a huge bird like a pretty version of an emu,and live in the rainforest in qld,and they can rip your guts out ,so good luck to all the hippies living in far north qld,and some of the people are pretty weird here also,the radiation would explain why the fuck i am like this???.:mrgreen:

I think to grow outside, in soil, will give the best bud all round. I am also going to try to grow outdoors. I have a small indoor grow going now, but have to try outside,probably from seed,chances of losing plants are greater,but I've heard yeild is more also.Anyway, seeds were made to grow. Yes we got black bears. Black bears are afraid of people for the most part thought. I have run into bears in this forest 3 times. The first to were just normal bears and they pissed themselves (literally) and ran as soon as you wave your hands and go BOO. The thrid time was diffent because the bear had its cubs with her. If my dog was not with me to hold the bear off for me to make my escape I probably would have been mauled. The pee will keep the bears away they are so afraid of humans.

I ordered my seeds today. I plan on sproting indoors and letting them get strong then planting them outside all natural. Hopefully everything works out. Im doing this with 4 close friends who all live within a block of me. I have explained the do not tell anyone rule very very well. It is less then a 20$ investment for each of us so even if the plants dont do very well we wont be dissopointed. It easily worth the try.

ye cassowarys iv seen a few they do some nasty damage hey. Dont think they would mess with your grow though. Im doing a small outdoor grow aswell. Great yeilds! GoodLuck.

many people stress growing outdoors. to me it is the most fun and nature can bring far better characteristics than indoor as well as a much greater yeild. ive been speaking with OGs [original growers] for a while now and they tell me after 30 years of growing outdoors they'll have a hard time adjusting to the indoor growth if they tried. The outdoors seems most natural and there needs to be more people supporting it. it would be an honor to be lost on an island with few thousand quality seeds where nobody has to bitch, steal, and squeel

Hi fellows,

I am planning to plant outdoor this year overhere in Germany and was worried about the animal problem, too. By looking for some guidance I found this board.

A was told by a friend, that a hedge with thorns will also prevent animals from eating the plants. I found a place on a field that is not used anymore, located close to a small stream. Seems to be ok, but I also found many trails of animals. I will try to protect the plants by planting hedges with thorns around the spot. The hedge is already growing close to it, so I will remove some strains and reallocate them. The advantage is, that the hedge is a natural barrier that will not be seen immediately by people who might pass the area, since it fits into the environment.
