Outdoor Digging holes

So I'm about to transplant my outdoor babies in the ground my question is should I line the hole or just use a good base mix and fill it up that way?? I'll be using roots organic soil mix along with the fox farms nute line when needed

Haha yeah..my ground soil is clay and full of grubs. I laid some organic soil down on it and the grubs infested it fast. OP if you have my problem then yes. Id even make a raised bed. But if yoy have good soil, cherish it,use it
