i figured it would be better to ask here about basic seed questions rather than the stores that will be trying to sell there seeds. my question is how close to the finish date that seeds companies give you do the plants usualy finsih? is it fairly close to their dates, is it within days weeks, or mabye months? - hopefuly not the last :-|

I usually allow for +/- 1 week from the dates the breeder gives. For example if they say "finishes outdoors in the northern hemisphere mid October" I usually plan on harvesting anywhere from Oct 10 to Oct 20. There a lot of different factors at play, especially when growing outdoors, so be patient if they say "late september" and they don't seem ready until early october. Just my 2 cents.

I don't blame you for not blindly trusting the breeder info. More often than not, they underestimate flowering time in order to make the strain seem like it finishes faster. I grew out a Dinafem California Hash Plant and they claimed the flowering period was 45-50 days. That's only 6-7 weeks! Ended up going almost 9 and I just harvested it last week.
