If you put a plant for outdoor grow right after the last frost, say on March 10 - 20 (this is when D/N ratio crosses 12/12 for most of US), how long will you have on a pure D/N ratio before the plant stops flowering and goes back to Veg?
Seems like you would have a month or more where the D/N ratio was transitioning through 13/11 and then 14/10. Lets say you put them out on that solstice day or w/e of exactly 12/12 and they were Vegged indoors approx 4 weeks and ready to flower, what would happen? Will you get any mature bud to smoke by say April 15 or May 15?
Depending on location, D/N will not cross 14/10 until about April 10 - 20. Will plants still be flowering around that time? Or put another way, what will the D/N ratio have to be to stop flowering and send to veg? Is it 14/10, 16/8 or 18/6?
And I am sure a bit of it depends on the strain. Maybe this is why Autoflowers are so popular, for a spring harvest no matter the D/N ratio?
