The area i'm at has about 13 hours of full direct sunlight in June. I would like to try and veg outdoor, but not too sure if this is enough time. How does a plant stay in veg outdoor with not as much light?? The place i'm at doesn't get anymore than 13 hours of light.

what season is it in june for you, for me its summer, they still Veg. up until july (june for us is the longest days) as long as they sense that its daylight they should be fine even if they don't get say, 15 hrs of direct light.

When growing outside, I dont even go by the amount of hours we have of light. The simplest way I find is planting after the last frost of the year, its different all around, Here in nova scotia, last frost is sometime in may, thats when I start vegging outside. lol THe plants know what their doing.
