Outdoor Winter growing

Hey I live on the west coast and this is my first grow. Where I live it gets cold during the winter and rains a fair amount (on average 40 inches). Right now it's Indian summer, The light cycle is pretty good and it's warm outside. But what will happen when we have 7 hour days and it's cold and raining?

They will need cover from the rain. Unless it freezes, Mary will be fine.
Cold inhibits growth in the 40's I believe, but it will change
yer crop purple!
Mini green house?

Your totally right a mini greenhouse is a good idea. And no matter what I'll make sure their cover from heavy rains.
