Overages

Get a solid army ammo box. Shrinkwrap it and burry it somewhere not in your yard. I have not had an issue yet, but if you have an issue, thats what I would reccomend.

if you freeze your overages it makes it unsmokable and doesnt count against your 2.5oz verified by my local authorities

If you don't mind, what local authorities are that understanding? Are you talking about dry meds or have a link to that policy.

Due to the uncertainty of the current laws I find the best method of limiting my usable to 2.5oz is to throw the overage into the garbage. I put it in a medium brown paper bag. I then clean the cats' litterbox and throw some of that in on top and shake it up real good. Then I roll the bag, wrap it with duct tape and throw it in with my kitchen garbage. If I am raided before garbage day I feel confident that the cat shit and piss will make sure it won't count against my 2.5oz.

To me the huge potential risks that still exist currently are not worth the hassle. The Oakland County Prosecutor felt it necessary to prosecute the guy who read his wife's email, I don't want to be a test case for her on what qualifies as usable. YMMV.

Just because your aloud 12 plants doesn't mean you have to grow 12. If your overages are enough for a patient, then get one, or grow less.

there are a few things i would consider myself before attempting this type of disposal.

1) Garbage, once placed on the curb, is considered abandoned property and is now public property...meaning the cops or ANYONE can look through it without a warrant.
2) if they want you, they want you...meaning even if its covered in cat piss they will make it stick.
Not trying to start anything, I'm just saying i personally would not do this.

SWIM say they give their overages to over (trusted) caregivers and patients for donations

I do bake with a lot! I am thinking about picking up some patients but I am new to getting the card and wanted to wait a bit. I have heard that the dispensary's will take it, but is this true?
