so here is the rundown: two days ago I took three of my plants which are in 5 gallon grow bags out of the veg tent and placed them into the flower tent under a 1000 W HPS in under a scrog net. while my plants where in my veg tent I had the spacer in between the grow bag(cloth) and the saucers...
When I put plants into my flower tent I removed the spacer then proceeded to water plants I noticed about 30% of the water that in the bottom of the saucer. I gave it one day to see if the plant would suck the water up unfortunately it did not so I vacuumed the water out. Plants looked OK and tell yesterday, yesterday they became droopy and today is a little worse.what I have done so far is put the spacers back, raised temperatures from 74° to 86° , increased my exhaust fan speed, and poked holes in the soil with a pen. what do you guys think? any suggestions would be helpful thank you also I will post pictures if needed

i think keep the spacers there all the time, drop the temps to where they're normally going to be, stop poking holes in the roots, and give the plants a few days to get used to being under a different, more powerful light. when you put a lot of plants outside, you have to harden them first, either putting them out in containers for increasingly long periods of time, or putting cheese cloth of something similar over them to shade them till they get used to the direct sun. give your plants a few days to get used to it.

Thanks for the input! I did have a Inclination that it could be in the change of light but I put that thought on the back burner because I knew I overwatered them, I just thought they were ready for some extra water. As for poking holes in the dirt I just figured that it would vent out so that way I didn't go crazy . But Cheese cloth is a great idea! The only way reason I took the spacers out was because I have a friend who grows and she never uses them and does a great, but I will keep them there for now on. But thanks again for your reply much appreciated!

you don't have to use the spacers, but you have to learn how much water the plants will absorb, you either need to give them a couple of inches of air to drain into, or use just enough water that they'll reabsorb what runs out at first. i use a couple of inches of gravel in my saucers, just because its easier and i can usually let overflow evaporate, and not have to drag the vacuum out and suck it up.

I like the method to your madness, those tips will be incorporated to my grow thanks for the great advice
