I keep hearing about this strain. It's from Next Generation seeds right? I think I looked into it a little while back. The problem is right now I don't have the room to pre-sex plants and take clones, so I'm limited to strains that come feminized and starting from seed, which kind of sucks, but gotta make due.
I know what you mean... I just moved and dont' have the room to start seeds indoor and sex them and take clones from the ladies either. i have to grow from fem seeds also. I had bought regular seeds earlier in antisipation of sexing plants and taking clones but now I have to spend more $ on fem seeds. Hope i don't end up with a bunch of hermies!

I haven't had any problems with fem seeds.

thats good news. have you used fem seeds other years? what strains have you had good luck with? i don't know what part of pa you are from but i am in the northwestern part of pa and i hear from some growers that mould and mildew is a huge problem along with deer eating plants. if i knew one strain that did really well i would be tempted to go with fewer strains and more plants of something i knew worked well

Berks? Damn bro we're pretty close.
Hell yeah, that's pretty awesome! I think you posted earlier in this thread about doing the NL #9 outside this summer, for the most part i'll be running the same as last years but im going to buy a few seeds in the next week or so and have it narrowed down to Sagarmatha's NL#9 or barneys farm Sweet Tooth. Maybe ill pick&mix a few of both?

I dont want to steer you in one particular direction strain-wise, but its safe to say any strains that are listed by their breeders as being suitable to grow outside on their personal websites would be a good choice. A strain with a good portion of sativa in it will also help to reduce mold as the buds are not characteristically 'rock hard' like a pure Indica.

I have 3 plants started all on there second week from seed. They have been sitting in my window sill and doin fine. As soon as it gets a tad warmer I'm throwing em outside. I live in the Pittsburgh area. Just germed a kush seed that I have pretty high hopes for.

Yeah mold was an issue for me last season. It was pretty dry all summer until late september when in rained just about every day it seemed. I had to pick 2 of my 4 big plants about a week earlier than I wanted to. I grew a bunch of random strains but by far my best was a little known strain simply called Purple by Ceres Seeds. I bought a single seed spur of the moment to spend enough for one of Attitudes promos. Unfortunately, it didn't turn purple for me, but it was still killer. Started flowering late July and finished the last week of September, so she beat the mold. The smell, taste, and high are all amazing. I actually still have a gram or two of it left that I'm saving for a special occassion, haha. I'd definitely consider growing it again, but not this year. I have a other strains I want to try and only have the time and energy for a few plants. I think it would be good indoors too.

I'm glad you mentioned mold. It's something that really needs to be addressed. Just about every breeder is going to say their outdoor strain(s) finish early and are mold resistant, but I don't think it's that simple. My strategy this year is to pick strains that are indica or mostly indica. That way, the chances are better that it will start flowering early and finish early and hopefully be done before the fall rain. For the most part, I'll be growing strains that finish late September or early October. I did a good bit of research checking out other people's journals who grew the strains before to try to verify the finishing times and also to see if they had any issues with mold. It's so hard to predict though. We could get lucky and have a dry fall or it could be a washout like last year. Also, I decided to be diverse with my strain selections just in case. One plant or two at the most of each strain so I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket. I like having a variety of different smoking options too.

My seedling/veg area is small, so I can only start a few plants at a time. The first batch I'll be starting will be some autos. I know people have mixed feeling about autos, but I did so-so with them last year so I'm going to try them again. I'm fairly confident with my new setup and strategy I can do much better with them this time around. I consider myself more of a "hobby" grower, so having fresh bud in July while my regular plants are still in veg works out well for me. After my first set of autos are out, then I'll start a few of my regular strains. After that, depending on how my first set of autos are looking (they should be in full flower by then) I might start another round of autos. If they looks bad then I'll just start another round of regular strains. With autos outdoors, I think timing is important. Last year, I started them late, so the days were already getting shorter. I only ended up pulling about 2 oz off of three Easy Ryder plants. It doesn't seem like much, but I really don't smoke all THAT much, so it was OK. Last year was a great learning experience for me, so I hope to do better all around. My biggest mistake last year, other than going with random genetics, was not digging big enough holes.

Yeah, Next Generation has a version of TT, BC Bud Depot also has it for roughly the same price. There are others out there too... peak seeds used to have TT crosses and i think they're working on their own version but cant get it quite right. I don't have an indoor setup... Everything is done outside( after the seeds crack their shell)... I does get frustrating having to chop chop a 5 ft unstretched male... luck of the draw, ive had a +50% female ratio on my regular seeds

Got my promo order today from the attitude. It took a few extra days to get here, but was still faster than expected considering the tude was telling us to be patient

Well I am buying fem packs of 5 for my summer grow this year... all the strains I chose are strains that were advertized as mould, mildew, mushroom, resistant strains. So far I have Pineapple Chunk, Northern Light Blue, Midnight Kush, Blueberry Gum, I also have a few freebee seeds that are mould resistant and are supposed to finish early, Blue Hash, California Hash Plant, BCN Diesel, and a couple auto fem seed freebees. I was also thinking bout getting Fruity Chronic Juice from Delicious Seeds and maybe some Russian Rocket Fuel autos. Anyone here in PA grow any of these strains before or choose one of these strains to try this year?

Looks like we took advantage of the same promos. I also have Blue Widow, California Hash Plant, and BCN Diesel. I actually have 4 more Kannabia beans as well.

I don't think I'm going to do Blue Widow. I'm definitely going to do California Hash Plant though, it's at the top of my list.

I want to try at least one of the Kannabia strains I have, but it's a tough choice. I'm thinking either La Blanca, BCN Diesel, or Kannabia Special. I'd like to do all 3, but I don't want to take that big of a chance on unproven genetics since I haven't seen all that much info on Kannabia. I was talking to a guy the other day who grew BCN Diesel indoors and was pretty happy with it. He said it finished for him in about 8 1/2 weeks which is surprising for something advertised as "mostly sativa."

Another one of my definites is Magus Motavation. Picked this up during an Attitude promo back in July I believe. Can't go wrong with a Sensi Star x Warlock cross. 2nd place in the HLC 2008 and 3rd place IC420 cup 2005.

Next we have Sagarmatha Northern Lights #9. Not too much info on this strain either, but I've heard nothing but great things about Sagarmatha. It's a 3 way cross of Northern Lights x White Widow x Durban. I have high hopes for this strain.

Last, but not least, we have Sweet Seeds Green Poison. I went with this because I read some great reviews and it's suppose to finish mid to late September.

As for my autos, I picked up Paradise Seeds Automaria II about a month or two ago and it came with a free pack of Pandora, which is another auto strain from Paradise. Both of these strains are brand new, so I haven't heard anything about either of them yet.

BTW guys, I found all this information at Seed Finder. By far the most comprehensive strain databases out there. Check it out!

I am not planting each plant on its own... I have a few areas that I feel safe planting in and i am going to try to do this all in 4 to 5 plots of 5 to 10 plants... as far as the autos, i haven't ordered them yet but i hope to before the end of april. I am going to be relying on their short stature to help hide them and plant them in areas that I hope they will go without notice. I don't know what your area of the state looks like but my neck of the woods is full of small fields and scattered forest... lots of places that are pretty suitable to hide a few plants.

Well I didn't get a Blue Widow, missed that by a few days or a few dollars. I also have Dinafem's White Widow, Royal Haze, Power Kush, & Sweet Deep Grapefruit. I would really like to try these strains also but I don't want to waste the seeds. I just don't know if they will have what it takes to make it in my neck of the woods. I would really like to try them though.

I don't think I'm going to do Blue Widow. I'm definitely going to do California Hash Plant though, it's at the top of my list.

Yes, I have to try that as well. I would love to try the White Widow, but the California Hash Plant is def going out.

I have high hopes for the BCN Diesel. If it does well and smokes well this year, I will likely buy at least a 5 pack for next year. It sounds like it should be pretty kick ass according to the breeders description, but then again i guess a lot of strains sound pretty kick ass if you go bt the breeders description. I also know what you mean by not wanting to put all your faith into strains by a breeder you are unsure of. I don't have a lot of experience either so I chose to split up my strains and get some from a few different breeders. Barney's farm, G13 Labs, Delicious Seeds, Dinafem....

Next we have Sagarmatha Northern Lights #9. Not too much info on this strain either, but I've heard nothing but great things about Sagarmatha. It's a 3 way cross of Northern Lights x White Widow x Durban. I have high hopes for this strain.

I ended up going with the Delicious Seeds Northern Light Blue because even though Northern Lights kinda sounds like a common, out of date strain, it has a reputation for being mould resistant. I thought that Northern Lights X Bluenberry sounded like a good choice. It is supposed to finish in mid september also.

5 Fem Barney's Farm- Pineapple Chunk
5 Fem Delicious Seeds- Northern Light Blue
5 Fem Dutch Passion- Frisian Dew
5 Fem G13 Labs- Blueberry Gum
5 Fem G13 Labs- Midnight Kush
5 Fem Royal Queen Seeds- Ice
2 Fem Dinafem- Blue Hash
1 Fem Dinafem- California Hashplant
1 Fem Kannabia- BCN Diesel
10 Reg Short Stuff Seeds- Russian Rocket Fuel

This should keep me more than busy this summer! I already have most of these seeds. I just ordered the Ice, Frisian Dew, and Russian Rocket Fuel today. This is my last order for the year. I think I will have more than enough plants to keep myself busy for the summer and fall! I wanted to mix up the breeders and strains. That way if any of the breeders or strains have horrible hermi problems, it won't ruin my whole harvest. I am going to be planting these in groups of about 5 in various areas i feel to be safe. I have chosen all strains that are advertised as mould & mildew resistant. Everyone here in PA knows that we often have wet fall weather. Wish me luck. I am going to try to start some of these inside in a couple weeks but I am not sure if I am going to have the room or not. I may be forced to start these outside in late may or early june. I have a 3 lb harvest goal but anything approaching 2lbs would still make me pretty happy.

nice i got the Russian rocket fuel to, it my first time with autos, the idea of having a harvest in june/july is awsome. lol im almost out of smoke from last season so a harvest in a couple months from now sounds sweat.
