I've just gotten home and checked on the lady for the first time since Friday night and I've decided to hole off on any form of h2o2 treatment. The green algae on the hydroton seems to have pretty much gone away. Couple quick pics before I go watch football. Holy shit.... she is going to need to be topped soon... her new growth is going crazy and without much stretch it is completely getting tangled up with and blocking the growth beneath it.

I wouldn't use the Voodoo unless you're rich. Does the same as the hydroguard pretty much. $100/L here. Buy some Big Bud and maybe Bud Ignitor instead for way bigger colas. I've used the BB since they came out with it 12 years or so ago and swear by it. Just tried the BI recently and still on the fence about it but have enough left to experiment with for another trial. It's really pricey too. I got a 500g can of the BB powder recently for $90 and that will last me for a few years.

Looking great and I wouldn't worry about the algae. Or the football for that matter. Not a fan of sports. :D

    :peace:

Discoloration on the roots is normal . certain brand nutes will turn them Orange brown g.h. turn mine colors. I wouldn't stress just yet..

A guy in the thread I posted that's linked above said basically the same thing. I'm just concerned because the discoloration isn't uniform.. it's mostly just up at the top. I plan on adding great white after I change my res tonight. Hopefully between that and the hydroguard I'm already using it will help if there is a problem and do a good job preventing one if there isn't. The plant still looks really healthy so I'm hopeful that either I've caught it early enough to treat it or you're correct and there isn't a problem. Ugh.

Ok... full res cleaning and nute change. Scrubbed and sanitized the bucket, fresh RO, silica blast, flora trio, calmag, full dose of hydroguard, full dose of great white. pH came out to 5.6 without any adjustments, res temp is currently 67.1, added an additional air stone and now I hope for the best. I'll take a couple plant shots in a few hours.

Also, looks like I went a little hotter on the nutes than I wanted to.. not sure how I managed that... I was very careful with my measurement. Sitting at about 575 ppm right now. Considering she is only 19 days old I was shooting for more like 400 or 425. Not sure if it was the silica blast I added this time that jacked it way up, but we'll see how she likes it. If she looks to be unhappy I'll just have to drain off some res and top with RO.

Despite the possible root problems she continues to grow like crazy. In 10 plus years of growing I've never had a plant develope like this. So bushy and so chunky... if the root issue stabilizes I will be topping her before the end of the week.

She's getting good light, that's why she's sqwat and chunky. The indica May have something to do with that too. Lol. I can't tell from your pics,(blurple) but watch out for to much nitrogen.
My first hydro I over did the N. as a result my leaves got very dark green and brittle, like crispy lettuce.

I'll definitely watch out for too much N. I'll get some natural light pics up tonight.

Update on the root situation. New growth (in the root system and the plant) continues, and the plant looks ok, but I'm trying to decide if it looks stressed or not. Seems just a tad droopy sometimes and a couple of the leaves seem less supple and soft. I'm going to keep an eye on the roots and if I see any slow down in root development, an increase in discoloration, or the development of any slimy stuff my plan is to hit it hard with h2o2 for a week or two, possibly give it a very short soak/flush with plain pH'd water and then re-inoculate after the h2o2 is pretty much out of the system. I want to stabilize this asap as I really really want to top her and I don't really want to do that until I know her roots are in good shape.
I'll get pics of her root mass and some white light shots of the plant tonight so maybe I can get some feedback.

    Looks fine to me.
Did you notice drooping leaves shortly after the light came on..? If so that's normal.

It seems very slightly droopy righ after lights on and right before lights off, but a little bit randomly throughout the day. I'll post pics tonight.

I think the droop is from low temps. I forgot to switch my hygrometer/thermometer out of min max mode at some point and realized my temps had dropped to like 67 in my tent. Roots have really exploded with new growth since the res change with the addition of the great white and hydroguard! The discolored section is still discolored, but there is so much new root growth in the last day and a half and it all looks super healthy and vigorous. Couple random pics from today..

She is still a little bit droopy from time to time, but growth is good. What worries me a little is the unusual texture of some of my leaves. A few of them are a little crinkled I guess you'd say. You can see it pretty clearly in the 2nd pic. Took these this morning. Any ideas?

Looks like we may have gotten different phenos of the papaya. Your leaves look alost like sativa. Beautiful plants you have going there! Can't wait until I'm that far along! I put my seed in a rapid rooter on Dec 18th and she poked her head up on the 21st, so mine is only 24 days old (27 if you are counting from when I put the seed in the rooter). Can't wait to see how she looks when she is ad far along as yours! I'll definitely be following your journal and feel free to follow mine if you like! Be nice to talk to someone who is growing the same strain!

Thanks bro. I'm following. You sure you saw the papaya and not the Casey Jones ? It's really short n fat. Didn't really even stretch during flowering, unlike the Casey. I actually mixed them up for the first month until I realized it was the sativa that was taller with thinner leaves. First real grow for me. Nooob mistake lol. The papaya is on the left, Casey on right.

You've got good times ahead. Just be on top of your what your girls telling you.
