Parkour

Soo today I went to a local parkour place in my city for the first time, and it was pretty fuckin fun!
The entire floor had springs underneath, so walking n running you pretty much floated and jumping 4 feet high was pretty fun haha
Does anyone else on RIU do parkour or free-running, or interested in it?

I have always been extremely interested in parkour. I remember the first time I was introduced to the up and coming sport, a old friend of mine jumped off the top of a parking garage, doing a back flip and entered the second floor of the parking garage from the top, really interesting on how he did it.

Personally, I would love to learn how to do it but I'm assuming that it takes some experience with gymnastics, and other sports like that. I'm not too flexible myself, but it is really interesting to watch.

I have seen some really cool videos on youtube, there is some amazing talent out there within this sport. I have no doubt in my mind that this could be in-fact a olympic sport one day.

if that did become come a olimpic sport fairly sure it would become one of my favoits imagen just get a great big coures with tones of differnt ways through send them in in heats see who gets out first

yea i would love to get into parkour. but like u said these people ARE gymnast and they spend there days practicing. its pretty nuts ive seen it on TV sometimes, a couple tournaments.

Hell yeah I love parkour, out here on the east coast there really isnt much to do though

I like that it's not really a competetive sport

I mean you COULD judge how you go over obstacles and stuff but that would be gay



The whole point of parkour (I believe at least) is simply getting from point A to point B in a fun and inventive manner.

Parkour is fun as hell tho

hey thanks man, no i have not even heard of him . but I went and googled his name after reading your post, and watched a video..
He can do some crazy moves on that skateboard! (I liked the 1 arm hand stand on the board, just wow)

I think it would be cool to judge similar to figure skating.. simply off of form and the art behind it.

Forgot to mention, a group of my friends and myself do parkour

they could time them whoever the fastest out wins with points for diffuculty
