Partial Harvest?

Hey everyone,

Have any of you ever experimented with harvesting a portion of a plant while the trichomes are cloudy and then coming back to harvest the other half when the trichomes are a bit more amber?

I have one plant that is near harvest with cloudy trichomes (more daytime use) but, since I can only grow one plant at a time, I’d like to harvest a portion when the trichomes are more amber for night time use. I’m just unsure if cutting part of the plant will shock it too much and potentially lose the other half somehow.

Thoughts?

she looks great. But yea just chop what you feel is ready and leave whatever you think isn't.
Thanks! I will. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't making a huge error in my thought process.

Do you find that you get different effects by harvesting a different times? Like I mentioned, I'm looking for a daytime high and then an evening high out of what I leave on longer.

I often harvest at different times but never before they are completely covered with cloudy/milky trichomes. More amber equals more sedating effect.

I brought widows down early once.....smoke was still great but you could tell it didn't reach full potential. It was a rookie mistake though. Hard being a new grower and having no smoke and seeing plants with ounces on them lol

Just cut it off. With pruning shears, or scissors if it's not a tree. The plant will be fine
