Things seem to be going well! I got the camera all situated for the log--I still need to work out the white balance though but can't seem to locate my gray card. I'll get two more plants going once more seeds arrive. I think USPS may have lost the package as it's been "in transit for the next facility" for 5 days. :(

Hell yeah! Seeds finally decided to show up! Got a bit of a surprise when my phone pinged showing a tracking update, I was beginning to think these ones fell victim to the postage gods. This will be my first time using this seed bank (Royal Queen Seeds), but they have a handful of CBD offerings and I need to find a daytime smoke for anxiety that doesn't knock me on my ass.

So I have room for two more flowering plants. First up: Stress Killer auto and Cookies Gelato. Plopped the Cookies Gelato in some soil, but need to finish building another 17gal SIP for the auto. I should be able to get to the SIP this evening.

List of what arrived:
Cookies Gelato (fem)
Critical (fem)
Critical Kush (fem)
Northern Light (auto)
North Thunderfuck (auto)
O.G. Kush (fem)
Royal Medic (cbd, fem)
Royal Runtz (fem)
Stress Killer (cbd, auto)
Shining Silver Haze (fem)

Got seeds planted for the Stress Killer and Cookies x Gelato, in addition to a defoil and LST on the Sour Diesel IBL and Gary Payton x GG#4.

Cultivar: (Gary Payton x GG#4) - bagseed
Cycle: Preflower - flipped to 12/12 on 12/21/23
Flowering this one early since it's bagseed. If it ends up being good, I'll grow it again and make some S1 seeds from a couple lower branches.

Since I just planted a feminized Cookies x Gelato seed for the SIP next to this DWC and I don't want to 12/12 from seed, I will veg it with the mothers and transplant to the SIP when it's ready for flowering.

I will also probably flower the Cookies x Gelato early to test, as well. If I like the pheno, I'll keep its clone as a mother, flower out a clone, and make some S1 seeds from a couple lower branches.

Seems to be recovering well from the defoil and LST. I'll probably veg this one for two or three more weeks. I planted an auto seed in the SIP to the right so it shouldn't really matter when I change the light schedule.

Since I was also working in the veg area, I thought I should snap a picture of one of my mother plants.

I prefer to keep my mother plants as bonsai's in small plastic pots. When kept small like this, the mother plants require very little water, nutrients, and space. I just give them a heavy prune every two weeks to keep them small. After about six months or so, or when they start requiring water every day, I will clone and either flower out the bonsai for the hell of it, or just bin it. When going on vacation, etc., I push a single blumat carrot into the soil and that seems to keep them happy without any other maintenance for about two weeks.
