Passive exhaust size.

My case is 55" high x 18" wide by 10" deep

I plan on using pvc on the bottom so what size would I want? I have been thinking 3 2" pipes on the bottom. Then I was going to make a 120mm 80-100cfm pc fan and carbon filter. 3 cfls 6 if I can do two levels. I fear is that I will cut the holes to big and loose any type of good suction.

Come on guys, he gave specs and everything...
I'm just coming back after a while, but I did something very similar to this. The PC fan will be fine, but if you have something to reflect the light (eg, over the bulbs to reflect extra light downwards) you will see a decrease in airflow (ps-suction doesnt really matter, just the flow of fresh oxygen). CFLs do not penetrate, and are most effective as close as possible (~2/3in.) and all around the plant. You will find that only the tops of the plants will receive light, and your stretchy, thin girls will be lacking except perhaps with one main cola.

I would suggest splitting the cabinet into two rows. Work with just one of them as you learn how to LST the plant, so 27" of vertical height. I think I deleted my pics a while ago but I'll see if any are left..sorry, but they probably aren't.

About a week after this pic I got a nicer, wooden cabinet. Same WxL, but 5ft high. The passive intake stayed the same, with a PC fan output up top, and it worked find till the grow was botched.

Thanks for the reply. My light system is going to be basically the same as yours except im going to go with PVC for the frame. I just worry about the pc fan still being enough with the carbon filter, I know I guess I shouldnt formula says I only need like 2 cfm anyways. Im going to leave it one chamber for the first grow. Then Ill split and try to do something perpetualish. Thanks for the replay again

Thanks for the link but I already read that. It doesnt figure in different types of fans and carbon filters. For large grows its good, but something so micro I dunno.
