Passive Watering?

hey guys,

it kills me to do this but i have to leave my babes at home alone for almost 10 days, that means no one there to water, adjust lights, or keep a watchful eye. It scares me because i'm really hoping i don't come home to dead greenery. This being said i browsed the web for passive watering techniques and decided that a cotton cord from a 2L bottle full of very light nute solution to the pot, and buried about 2.5'' down in the soil was my best bet. Has anyone else ever had to do this, and if so how successful?

so, my question is - am i screwed?

How many plants do you have? Maybe keep the pots in trays full of water. Run a humidifier to slow evaporation and absorption.
