Hello guys, i am seeking some advice if you all dont mind

I was looking at some pc fans on amazon and i see they have a different connection rather then the standard wall mount plug in.

I am not a tech guy and was looking if you all can advise me through?

What do you all do to get around this different connection?

How do you all get those pc fans to work?

here is what i am looking at at the moment

these are the fans i am thinking about getting, 4 pack for the price of one.... if you all have any better recommendations, let me know please?

and this is an adaptor i found that i think works for that, but it is expensive if it works for one fan only,

PC case fans usually get their power from a motherboard, since your not going to be usign a motherboard I assume one way you could do it would be wiring the fans to a cheap power supply with a regulator. like this you could also control the fan speeds by increasing or decreasing the voltage.

Hope this helps.

it should be a fairly simple connection, as far as i know it only uses 2 cables to power the fan with a simple on/off function. all you would have to do is connect the power supply to the fans then select the voltage you want to give them.

this is one way, im sure there are other ways that other people have tried and tested

Most pc fans run on a big 4 pin molex connector, others run on a smaller 3 pin connector. To get them to run, you only need the red and black wires, usually these are the only ones that go all the way to the fan. Anyway chop the connector off and use scotch locks to attach it to a 12v dc adapter(phone or laptop charger, voltage and current are written on thd back) and your off. I found a nice 12v 1.1amp power supply for an ancient laptop and it runs 4 fans no problem, just scotch locked them on one after the other. You can use lower voltages too, but fan speed will be lower.

if you leave the metal connector on the ac adapter you can shave down the red and black wires and insert red right down the hole of the metal piece ( the piece that connects to the device it charges) then tape the bare black wire to the outside of the metal piece, tape it all up plug-n-grow
