ok so here are the questions .....

can i use this phone charger to power this pc fan? and can this fan alone control the temperature of this box. the thermo said 80 something but was up above 90 today for sure. please any help is appreciated. and if anyone knows how to wire the pc fan to the charger i could use a refresher. and if this won't be enough i'll just go buy a fan. please help me.....

i also have a grow journal more pics will come after sprouts.

You will need to get a dc adaptor that puts out 12v, and has an amperage rating of at least 500mah to run that fan. I just hooked up the two pc fans i took out of an old computer, radioshack has dc converters that will work, mine cost me 20 dollars and can go 1.5amps, so i could run 5 fans or so off of it.
The phone charger would probably work, but the fan would be verrrrrry slow

so i should go ahead and buy like a regular for for like 5-10 bucks and use it that would be cheaper than buying an adapter.

yeah if your just using it to put wind on your plants get a regular cheapo fan, that pc fan probably wouldn't be powerful enough anyways, they only push around 30 cfm. But i used my two for venting and with their shape they are perfect for mounting against a wall in a grow enclosure

well i was looking for heat control but i would assume poshing air in or out will cool it off so i will get the cheapo fan and cut a hole in the wall and mount it thanks for the help bro. no one wants to post in my journal do you happen to have knowledge on that if so would you mind hitting up my journal. thanks.

managed to get a 240v pc fan off of ebay for $1.50 -- worth having a look.

personally would mount pc fan at base of door to push fresh air into the grow room, and buy a 100mm in line fan and a carbon filter for odour elimination.

ok so i went ahead and bought the smallest fan i could find. here it is. it isn't too big but a little bigger than i was expecting. now do i want to cut a hole in the side of this box and put it it there? then also do i want the air to blow in or out of the box? it maybe would also be possible to just attach it to the inside just to circulate the air. what would be the best thing to do here? sorry for all the questions......

Depends on how much you want to lower the temperature. If you just put it inside circulating air around, it will lower it a little, because it will be pushing the warmer air around. If you cut a hole, do it at the top, because hot air rises, and then make the fan push the air out. That will lower the temperature a lot depending on how cold your house is, because it will suck in air from the area surrounding your box. When your plants start to get stinky, if you have the fan blowing out, you can get the carbon filter replacements for air filters, put it on the hole you cut for the fan, and the stinky air will be pushed through the filter.

i have a small fan i took off a broken RC helicopter, you can buy propellers for miniatures at most hobby shops and they move alot of air, i bought a 12 pack for 3 bucks in town incase the one i have breaks. i just attached it to and old electric motor i had lying around (from an old VCR(drove the door out)) hooked it up to a motorolla razr phone charger and it blasts air, i have itr bring in cold air from the back of my cupboards over my flame to blow CO2 and nice dry air over them, i think im doing that right :) ps candle is in a pyrex bowl floating in water with a smoke alarm right outside the box :)
