Ok so i went to wal-mart today. I was looking for plug in sockets and Y splitters. None, I settled for two 26w Cfls 2700k ($10) Cable management kit, ($0.78) I also got two replacement lamp sockets. ($2.29 X 2) And two 6ft extension cords. (1.97 X2)

Got home and cut the end of the cords and striped some wires. Then on with the sockets and ran through the box and put in place temp style cause i am going to home depot one day soon and upgrading big time on the lighting.

Pics...
Just a hole to fill in the front and were good to start growing.

You can see the light setup pretty good.

Yeah if you start at 12/12 you can get your plant to stay small. I figured if i can get it trained pretty small, it will have a good chance at yielding decent. My plan is to get a small clone and top it to make new shoots and to super crop it and tie it down and scrog it. Basically three types of training all in one to get the yield up. Hopefully when said and done i can manage an ounce off it.
That would be sick.. you'd definitely see some dense weed:space ratios if it works. Gonna look up supercropping now, as I forgot what it is:joint:

As for strains.. try growing some sour diesel if you never had it before, although I doubt it will do well in closed spaces being a sativa dom and all. Master Kush was some of the best kush I ever smoked, and it looks like the dense kind of plant that would work well in a PC case.

2x4s and 3/4" MDF. All you need for about any size box.

I was leaning towards a PPP (Pure Power Plant) Or some old fashioned WW. Any One else got a breed they wanna see grown out?

I'll try to make one next time but for starting out its just one less thing I have to do. I'm gonna use 4 2ft t5's for veg and flower hope it turns out ok. How big should the soil pots be and what do you think about the lights?

Simple way to decide on a pot is 1 gallon for every 1.5 feet you want your plants to be at harvest. If your not concerned about spending the money a 400 watt HPS is the way to go for 4 plants or less. If you want to grow more you can use two 600 watt HPS on light movers and grow a decent amount. If you want to spend less money I would get some florescent lights.

So just FYI not that I mind really but some people will, in the future if you have questions start your own thread cause its not so polite to hijack peoples threads.

Seems like a pretty bad ass idea, Can't wait to see how it comes out. Always wanted to try something along these lines.

Multiple 26W CFLs are the way to go as far as efficiency is concerned; they sure as hell beat one big high wattage CFL in terms of lumens per watt.

As for color temps, you can just use all >5600K CFLs for vegging (6500K is best) and all 2700K CFLs for flowering. It might be beneficial to mix them up, but I wouldn't do half and half. Perhaps 3 of the proper color to one suitable for the other grow phase, at least in my opinion. Hmmm, what do you think PH? Half and half, 3:1, or no mixing at all?
i have 100watt CFLs can i just put one in my pc box??

that's the shit!!! i gutted a side by side fridge that im grownin 4 in veg right now but i got room to grow clones+at least 2 in veg and have a constant product every 8-10 weeks once i determine my mother plant. im growin just some mid grade kansas pot seeds and my plants looks weird. *where the branch and the fan leaf meet at the stem it looks like it's hot glued together (only way i can describe it).... no freakin ideah what it means.... and i cant figure out how yo post a question on my own

Looking good man. Im gonna recommend that you use atleast 4 bulbs. I found from past experience that 2 is not enough, 3 works but not great. Im building my first Pc too, but I've built wooden boxes prior to this.. and a 4ft standing freezer (rip). The more light the better. My future intention is to rig a 70w Mh but i haven't sourced a cheap enough ballast yet.
